“I had a cataract operation on one eye on 4th October 2023 and the other eye on 22nd November 2023. Both were at Ratho Park and the attention received was excellent on both occasions. The improvement on my distance vision has been very noticeable and I have had no problems since. I attended my own optician on 4th January 2024 and have been prescribed bifocal glasses to enable me to read as well as plain glass for distance vision. I would certainly recommend cataract removal to anyone.”

“I had cataract surgery from MrJ Ross May 2022 I was very apprehensive but after a few telephone calls to Mr Ross he put me at ease and I got my right eye done, this was the best thing I have ever done , when I need the other eye done I will be right back to VS. I have near vision in my left eye and distance in my right and now after 50 yrs I do not need glasses. I know when my left eye needs done I will need reading glasses but for now everything is great, thank you Mr Ross and all his staff..”

“I had cataracts in both eyes and done together. I was very anxious but all staff made me calm and reassured me. I don’t know why I worried the procedure was excellent. Tried to give 5 star but it would only let me do 4 .”

“The service from Vision Scotland was first class in all aspects. The time I had to wait before I could have my cataract surgery was minimal and fitted my schedule. The pre-operative checks were carried out very professionally. Immediate and thorough feedback was given by the optometrist. His advice was then backed up by Mr Mantry, the consultant surgeon. I chose to have a lens which was unavailable to me on the NHS but means that I no longer have to wear spectacles. On the day of my surgery, I was very well cared for by the nursing staff. Mr Mantry popped in to check if I had any questions pre-op. The surgery was very quick and painless. Post-op, I was given thorough instructions on my aftercare plan. It has been some weeks since my operation and Vision Scotland have continued to monitor my progress which I find very reassuring. In summary, I am happy that I chose to use Vision Scotland for my cataract surgery.”

“I couldn't fault anything about the cataract surgery. Everyone I met during my journey of cataract surgery treated me well and had plenty time never felt rushed Everyone was friendly and approachable .I would recommend vision scotland to anybody who was thinking about cataract surgery. Everyone was professionally at all times . I will be back when my right eye needs done in the future Thanks again for everything. Ps my pickleball has improved lol Lynne”

“I was apprehensive from the start; the need to treat my cataracts was countered by the fear of having any kind of operation on my eyes. Everyone at Vision Scotland did everything they could to allay my fears. At each step, I was kept fully informed of test results, helped to understand the various replacement lens options and guided toward an appropriate choice. On the day of the operation, I was talked through the procedure again before the operation and it all went well, with no discomfort. The results have been instant, spectacular and I’m so glad I went through with the procedure. I’m grateful to Jonathan Foulds, John Fox and all the staff at Vision Scotland.”

“Husband had cataract surgery both eyes 3 days ago. Excellent service from initial consultation to having surgery. Not using his glasses and colours are bright now. The care and attention is first class before, during and after. Gives a new outlook on life after surgery. Would definitely recommend.”

“Like everyone I was feel a little apprehensive having my cataract’s. I had both eyes done at the same time. I needn’t have worried the staff at Vision Scotland were so good, they put me at ease, explained everything to me like f I had any questions to ask. Nothing was too much trouble. Mr Ross was absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much Vision Scotland my sight is so good now. Anyone thinking of having it done then Vision Scotland is the place to go.”

“I am pleased with cataract surgery on both eyes eight weeks ago. I can now see the best I ever have, without spectacles,since eleven years of age. The surgery was pain free and of short duration. For two hours post operation I could only see a milky whiteout but vision quickly improved over the next four days at which point I could drive but opted to wait a few more days to go any distance. At five weeks had an eye examination with my optician. I now have varifocals to read very small print and give sharp focus at distance. I am pleasantly surprised at brilliance of light, colours and details I now see. I can read books, newspaper, watch TV, PC, mobile phone no problem. Driving day and night is much better without glaring lights. Thank you to Mr Ross and all the team at Vision Scotland.”

“I was recommended by my optician to Vision Scotland and have them perform surgery on my eyes as my cataracts were requiring attention, the nearest clinic was at Dyce. My assessment was very friendly and informative, I felt completely at ease and decided to go ahead with the procedure. I am pleased to say the patient team and the surgeon were very reassuring on the day of the procedure which was discomfort free and at the age of 85 could not be happier with the result and now enjoy the fact my vision is back”

“I had my eyes operated on in Early November 2023. I was very apprehensive on the day of my operation but was put at ease by your excelent staff. I was able to start driving again within two weeks as my vision was a lot better than I was expecting. I was amazed at the way colours seemed so much sharper and brighter. I have had a re-examination at spec savers in Nairn who was very pleased with the results, I only need glasses for extra small writting close in. My eyes still water a lot but they always did before I had the operation. I am very pleased with the results. Thank you Mr J V Webb”
