“I was very impressed with the facilities at Vision Scotland. the waiting area and all the equipment were of a very high standard. The staff were welcoming and caring. I felt I was getting excellent treatment. The procedure on two eyes was very successful and I now have good vision without glasses except for reading. I did not like the face masks used in the op as they stuck to my skin and I now feel I have a few more wrinkles than I had before. More skin care advice would be appreciated. Otherwise five stars.”

“Mr Jonathan Ross Ophthalmic Surgeon, Ratho Park, including staff. I have recently had cataract removal and lens replacements. I can honestly say that the experience and the care I received was amazing. Mr Ross was recommended by my optician as the best and I was not disappointed. He is a lovely man who inspires confidence and allays any fears or concerns. He keeps you well informed throughout the process. Plenty of time to raise any concerns you may have. He is thorough, efficient and informative. The op.was so easy( from my viewpoint) and pain-free. I was well-informed and can say at ease every step of the way. i cannot thank him enough. The added bonus is the staff in this clinic. Every member excels in their field and tasks. It is a fabulous, friendly atmosphere. Whether clerical, domestic, technicians, optometrists etc.they were wonderful and so very competent. Indeed from start to end I could not fault them. Many companies would be delighted to have this quality of staff. Aftercare, I had cause to use this on 2nd day post op. This was due to an unrelated accident I was unfortunate enough to encounter. I phoned for advice and was seen within an hour. I had a thorough check-up, including scans and eye tests with the optometrist. I was relieved that no damage to my eyes had occurred and left with a sense of relief. Wow! What a service. As you may have guessed from my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Also, Thank you all.”

“Explanation, timeliness and aftercare post procedure excellent. My surgeon, Ms Saidkasimov, is quite incredibly competent with a relaxed can do approach. I couldn’t praise her highly enough; she’s just brilliant and I feel very fortunate to have been under her care.”

“Had surgery in November and never looked back. The colours so bright next day. Service so good, painless with good coffee and cake to follow what more could one ask for. Follow up at Specsavers excellent as well has they had been contacted with all the details”

“Hi, I recently had cataract surgery, and am very pleased with the results. I didn't have to wait long to begin the consultation, everything was clearly explained, there was a calm and reassuring atmosphere, the operations were successful and I am amazed by the clarity of my eyesight. I am very grateful to the surgeon, Mr Sanjay Mantry and his team for their excellent care, and for the improvement to my vision.”

“I had bilateral cataract surgery two weeks ago and I am delighted with my progress and my vision is amazing .and the colours are great only thing I can now see the dust around the house .Thankyou to all the staff and Mr Burgess who carried out the surgery .”

“I can honestly say that I have been blown away with the professionalism, skills, kindness and care from everyone at Vision Scotland. From my initial consultation, with Mr Jonathan Ross, his optometrist and clinical staff to the communications from Claire, his PA, reception staff and nurses they have all been wonderful. I had cataract surgery performed on both eyes on Monday (2 days ago) and the entire process has been absolutely painless. I was so well informed at every stage of the process so their were no surprises and I congratulate Mr Ross and his wonderful team for doing such a superb job. My life has been changed, I can see better than I have done for years - 68 years of wearing glasses, contact lenses and latterly having cataracts in both eyes. The world is so colourful and bright and my vision is great - I am just so indebted to Mr Ross for his surgical skills and all the team at Vision Scotland, Ratho Clinic Edinburgh for such care and kindness - you are the best!”

“Thoroughly professional service throughout allied with genuine warmth from all. After care was equal to the pre operation stages and all my contacts were met with understanding of any concerns that I had. This was especially so when speaking with Lorna and others who recognised the effect of now not being so tied to spectacles after some 76 years. Before retiring, I was a Senior Social Worker for many years and I consider that their ability to share their personal experiences and to empathise is of great help. Thank you, all. “I had my cataract operation in March at vision scotland .. I was recommended by my optician at Browns in Edinburgh … I have now toric lenses to correct my astigmatism and the correct prescription to correct my eyes .. I am delighted with the result I didn’t feel anything during my operation .. my surgeon Mark was excellent very professional.. it was a very good follow up procedure too .. Totally recommend this to everyone who needs eye surgery.. many thanks 🙏”

“From my initial examination, through the day of the operation and in the follow up I was very pleased and impressed with the professionalism, interpersonal skills and level of support given by Vision Scotland. I have had an excellent outcome from a double eye procedure carried out on the same day. The lenses selected for me are exactly what I needed to improve my sight and through that my daily activities.”

“I was very satisfied with everything to do with my cataracts operation, and delighted with the result of the surgery. Everything was properly explained, the staff were all pleasant and efficient, and on the day of the surgery - for both eyes - I was in and out of the hospital in just over two hours.”
