“I opted for private surgery as the NHS waited list was lengthy. The care taken by everyone at Vision Scotland was exemplary from reception to surgery and after care. I have not had a single problem or worry.”

“I came here because of the positive reviews and award winning surgeons but my eyes are worse than before surgery, inconsistent vision, dry, super dry in the mornings and painful for days if I rub them. Maybe I'm in the 1% but good luck to anyone who has issues because no one at this company seems to care.”

“Vision Scotland gave excellent service during my recent cataract surgery. The staff were all friendly and helpful and put me at ease talking me through the procedure at every stage. Follow up was timely and helped reassure me that I was following the eye drop regime correctly. The surgery was successful and the outcome as expected and I have had no further problems with my eyesight.”

“Great service and support, good follow up even for smallest worries. Excellent friendly, polite surgeon who put me at ease within minutes of meeting with him. Chatted throughout double cataract removal op, informed of procedure as it happened. Could not be happier. Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere in hospital . All staff friendly and informative. Excellent results !”

“I am delighted with the transformation of my sight after getting Bilateral Cataract Trifocal Toric lens fitted, in June. My vision is now 100% for close, medium and distance work. I'd fully recommend this treatment.”

“I was very impressed by the standards of clinical care and facilities at Vision Scotland when I underwent a bilateral lens replacement in June 2024. The care was excellent and very professional from all concerned, right down to the sympathetic lady who escorts patients from the procedure room and provides a welcome cup of tea and toasted tea cake. Communication was clear throughout, including during testing by your optometrist the month before. The outcome was also excellent, at last freedom from having to wear thick glasses after so many years. One thing that I thought would improve the experience would be an optional follow up appointment at one of your clinics in the eight or so weeks before parents go to see their own optician.”

“I’ve been really pleased with the whole process from making appointments with the friendly reception team to the caring & supportive nurses who were so kind & reassuring. They explained everything clearly & the literature had everything I needed to know in it. Follow up appointments were thorough & any questions I had were answered without me being made out to be silly. I would definitely recommend Vision Scotland.”

“The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Everyone in the team did their utmost to get me to surgery day, after a few bumps along the way. They are all caring and compassionate and I can 100% recommend going with Vision Scotland. My Surgeon, Mr Jonathan Ross was amazing. He is excellent with a very calming manner. I am 3 days post surgery and everything is going great.”

“From the first phone contact to the day of the procedure, everything went smoothly. I was kept well informed and everyone at Vision Scotland in Aberdeen was so professional and friendly. A special mention for Mark, the surgeon who carried out the procedure to remove the cataracts from both my eyes and polish up existing scar tissue, for his reassuring manner. He explained in detail what he was going to do and what I might expect to feel, which put me at ease. However, it was a completely painless experience and my eyesight improved almost immediately afterwards. Now, I no longer require distance glasses and only need the weakest reading glasses for small print. I’m extremely happy with the service I received from the whole team at Vision Scotland and would highly recommend them to anyone who has a problem with cataracts. Thanks again for everything! “Had both cataracts done 6 weeks ago. Back from Opticians for check up 20/20 vision just need reading glasses. Service from the team at Edinburgh was second to none No issues at all and driving 3 days later.”

“From start to finish I have no complaints about Vision scotland. at the pre treatment everything was explained to me and even speaking with the consultant by video call he explained all I needed to know and put me very much at ease. The clinic at Ratho Edinburgh was very nice and the receptionist showed me to a seat and offered coffee and biscuits. The procedure was painless and the consultant always speaking keeping me calm. I got plenty of after care medication and over the following six weeks had no problems whatsover. I have since had my eyes tested and my long vision is perfect and for reading I have reading prescription glasses. As I wanted to continue wearing glasses my optician has prescribed varifocal lenses and I am very happy man. The one thing I can say since my cataract operation is the colours that I can see now are so much brighter. Since my procedure I have recommended a friend who has had his operation and is completely satisfied. Regards Gordon Short”

“Absolutely fantastic! Both eyes done with Extra depth of focus lenses. 1st class service throughout. Referred by optician on 13/9; consultation with Vision Scotland on 16/9; and procedure carried out on 30/9. As I write this review on 5/10, I can see perfectly. Can't thank Mr Ken Lai and the whole VS team enough. Yes, I was scared but I needn't have been. No pain whatsoever.”
