I sent a number of items over a range of categories and received a derisory offer which I declined and asked for my items to be returned. On receipt of returned items one was missing and despite VCC looking at their CCTV they said it had not been received. For future users be sure to take careful note and photograph sent items to avoid a repeat of my experience. Sadly I cannot recommend this company

I sent a metal aircraft case with 2 vintage canon cameras and 6 high spec lenses, in a set, plus an old browne camera. I was offered an insulting £28 ! The case alone was worth more. I realise that they have to allow a profit margin but Ddon't waste your time and effort .

I sent good to vintage cash cow. They gave me an offer which I accepted, after many messages emails asking them to send the money offered and pictures of all goods broken I've still heard nothing. No reply to texts or messages. Not to happy

I have checked your account and unfortunately, the broken items had to be disposed of as they were a safety risk to our appraisers. We did advise you not to send us these when you reached out to us initially while packing your box, and it is mentioned both on our website and in our welcome pack that we do not take anything that can be considered breakable. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, Any Item sent that fits into the Restricted Category list as set out in clause 4.1 is not insured and will invalidate the insurance of the entire Box even if the other Items are from an Acceptable Category. That said, we sincerely apologise for not processing your decision sooner and will ensure this is actioned as soon as possible. Ive just spent nearly an hour reading reviews about VCC as I was considering sending them some items. What bothers me a little is that they don’t seem to give anyone a right to reply to the long bit of spiel they use to validate their actions. Why are they not offering people the right to respond to VCC response? They could limit it to allowing customers one response to VCC’s response. Surely this would be responsible and fair. As for the acceptance not being able to be changed after a period of even an hour let alone five minutes later is abominable. And also they should be doing more to find out the circumstances around the person, for example the lady who accepted a price when she was clearly in her early period of mourning… surely this verges on obtaining goods by means that are totally unscrupulous. If they are so intent on gaining money this way then i would advise to swerve them. The responses from them are definitely chosen from a script as some of them just repeat the same thing. Theres no genuine comments, and they ALWAYS seem to have an answer. As I said, I have not used them myself but I Would remind them to treat others as they would like to be treated themselves or how they would like a loved one to be treated should they send items to another company who provide a similar service. I’ve taken a photo of my epic novel to put on other forums should this not be posted on their review page.

When we respond to a customer's review, they are more than welcome to email us with a reply or call us to discuss their review further. Unfortuantely, this review platform doesn't allow customers to write a reply to our response to a customer's review, so this is out of our hands. When a customer signs up for our service, they agree to our Terms and Conditions, so we highly advise that customers read through them. It is stated in our Terms and Conditions that once an offer is accepted, it can't be un-accepted. We allow customers 14 days to think about their offer though, so they have time to weigh up their options and don't have to rush into making a decision. We completely agree that it is horrible to see others going through difficult situations and we don't like seeing people regret the decision they make. That's why we allow 14 days for customers to think over the offer and we would always prefer for a customer to decline the offer and have their items returned to them for free if they are unsure or unhappy with it. When a customer accepts an offer, the items in their box are separated into different departments and because we receive hundreds of boxes a day with thousands of items, it is impossible to retrieve a customer's items and therefore, customers can't reverse their decision. I wouldnt recommend sending anything to Vintage Cow, they dont offer you a fare price but in my case i wasn't about to do anything else with the goods so just accepted their ridiculous offer...lesson learnt i wont be.sending anything else.

I have previously been very satisfied with the prompt response and reasonable offers from Vintage cash cow but sent a box of assorted silver over a month ago and have not been contacted. I had to wait for ages to speak to anyone and eventually gave up. Is it the norm to wait 5 weeks plus for a response?

I sent around 300 pounds worth of items around 70 wrist watches R.A.O.B worth around 150 pounds. Two digital cameras worth around 80pounds and a pair of binoculars worth around 40 pounds. I received an offer of 30 pounds. To me it was not an offer it was an insult. When I told the person who was dealing with it he became very abrupt and got off the phone has fast as he could. My advice to potential customers is don't touch this company with a barge pole.

My husband died a few months ago Admittedly it was early days after his death I sent 5 pentax and canon cameras plus other things and they offered me £28 which I foolishly accepted Remembering my husband had just died and my head was all over the place. Since then I have toughened up and realised that I should have got much much more than that I feel cheated and think what my husband would have said Absolutely disgusted 😤

Appalling service after sending watches, 2 candelabra, full set of silver cutlery, vintage cake slice of items offered £22. I phoned back five minutes after accepting the offer to change my mind as I felt pressured I was told that it was too late the items have already been destroyed. I have sent complaints to consumer rights and itv. It’s very misleading and appealing service.

Beryl I sent a lot of items including jersey £1 NOTE an original cameo i was offered 20pounds ask them to send it back first they said I will get a card to say what post office to get it from then they said they will redirect it and deliver it to my home waited all day it never came what do I do now please help I am really upset

I was offered a derisory £32 for a large collection of items: antique clocks, watches, Victorian tea set and cutlery, cameras, etc. I have just received my returned items and they are in an unforgivable condition - smashed, dented, taken apart - with 'bits' put in an envelope (broken corner of clock case, clock mechanisms in pieces.  I expected them to treat my property with respect and value the items, not destroy them.  The damaged items are beyond repair and I am deeply upset that these items, inherited from my father, have been wilfully broken.  I packed them with extreme care and marked each item carefully so they knew how to handle them. VCC clearly dropped my clock from a height - the glass is smashed and the corner of the stone casing is broken off.  They must have exerted considerable force to do this amount of damage.  Why did they take all the clocks apart, damage them and then not even attempt to reassemble them? Why would they do that?   Did they have no intention of selling these items? If not, then what is going on here?  Is this some elaborate fraud?  Should I be calling the police instead of 'customer services'?

We completely understand how disappointed you are that your clock was damaged in transit. Unfortunately, as it is classed as breakable, it isn't covered by our insurance. This is stated in our Terms and Conditions which customers agree to when they sign up for our service. As the clock is classed as breakable, it isn't something we can accept or insure. When a customer includes a breakable item in their box, it invalidates the insurance of the entire box. I understand that this won't be the outcome you were hoping for and that it will be disappointing, but unfortunately, there isn't anything further we can do, as this is clearly laid out in our Terms and Conditions. DISSAPOINTED. I sent 105 brand new watches in original unopened boxes that cost me on average £60-£80 each from big-name companies like Ingersol. I had spent £3000+ on all the purchases and they only offered £30 for the lot, that's an amazing £1 a watch. All I can say is "PATHETIC" and an insulting offer that made no sense, I would do better on eBay individually selling them myself myself. I DO NOT IN ANY WAY RECOMMEND VINTAGE CASH COW. My experience was it's a complete waste of time packing with free sending and returning.

I sent 3 boxes with - a few man’s watches (1 brand new, all working), 2 vintage amber necklaces, a bag of silver jewellery, lots of Subbuteo (boxed teams from 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s) as well as accessories, a large box full of toy cars (mostly unboxed, but some boxes as well a numbered sealed collection, a complete railway layout (small scale, lots of track, buildings, controller, as well as street lights crossing barriers and roadwork lights), Meccano set 7 and lots more bits. At the time I was going through a bad patch and just accepted their off of £105.00. Soon afterwards I realised I should have asked for my boxes to be returned but by then it was too late. I would never use them as the whole set up is a huge fiddle, knowing that people are desperate for any cash when they resort to Vintage Cashcow. Be very careful. (I would have given 0 stars if that was an option)
