I was very happy with the offer I got. The gentleman who called went through all my items explaining whether they were of any value and what they did with those that were not very valuable. Reading some of these reviews it would seem that reading all the information sent would give a truer expectation of value and possible offer.

I have a large box with lots of new items of gold, jewellery etc that I have hardly worn but looking at the negative reviews I have decided it would be better to go to a pawn broker or eBay. There are lots of jewellers that will give you a fair price. This place needs investigating as it looks like a rip off.

Absolute rip of. Do not send them anything, and if you do and want the items back they will be damaged or lost. These people should be looked into properly!!

Sick of seeing the advert on TV. They lost all my items and are extremely unhelpful and show no empathy. They just keep saying we need proof of tracking. Unfortunately when I tracked it and it was showing delivered I chucked the proof receipt away. They have not helped me in any way. Your items are NOT safe in their hands.

I am sorry to hear that we were not able to do more in regards to your missing box, and understand that seeing the television advert must be an unwanted reminder to this. As explained at the time, we are limited with what we can do without the tracking number, in the case of a missing box. Our Customer Care team looked into this, and based on your description, could not find a box that matched within our area for unnamed boxes that arrived without a customer ID label attached. The next step would have been to raise this with Parcelforce, however, we cannot make a claim for a box without the tracking number. I sent 3 cameras that where independently valued at a 2nd hand value of £575 and cash cow offered me £27 for the lot I've since sold them for £625 on another site...total scammers never would I even consider using this company... total rip off...

Sent various items, a camera, items of crystal. We didn’t agree with the £50 that was offered, the items were returned, with the exception of the camera, most items were broken or it looks like they’ve been deliberately smashed, not impressed.

Sent a large shoe box of miscellaneous jewellery items. Some old silver bangles, lots of costume jewellery etc, some watches. The offer was outstanding! So much so we were quite speechless. Thank you Vintage Cash Cow your service is amazing and 2 OAPs can have a wonderful summer and warmer winter.

I think it's a bit of a scam to be honest. I was very happy with my offer for the first box I sent (which now makes me wonder eactly how much they ripped me off) but the last time was just an insult. I didn't expect market value for the things I sent, I was just clearing some space and hoped to make a decent amount, but I know for a fact I sent some valuable items and was offered only £27. Just an insult and a waste of time. Reading the other reviews here, I am now not surprised. It does also make me think that whoever is doing the appraising is not an epert at all. I think they are just taking advantage of people during a cost of living crisis.

Regrettably, this timeframe precludes us from investigating the matter further, as the CCTV footage of the appraisal and return is no longer available. It is essential that customers report any issues with their returns within the 28-day period to enable us to address them promptly. I sent a big box with a load of stuff including epns cutlery, tea spoons serving spoons knives and more , a whole bag of costume jewellery, a silver ingot on a silver chain, small photo frames and more.. I was offered £43. I accepted because I didn't want the bother of getting it all back. My advice is .....DON'T BOTHER. I wish I hadn't . Never again. A measly £43 for all that I sent. A big box. The silver ingot necklace and chain is worth at least £70 alone. What an absolutely dreadful experience. I wish I hadn't bothered . Vintage Cash Cow is just a massive money making company which doesn't give what the items are worth.

I saw the ad on TV and thought to myself "Crime scene" So I decided to look for honest reviews. These guys are criminals. What's worse is they have got enough fake reviews to get a good rating on trust pilot. So now they have ruined the credibly of trust pilot.

These sites take genuine reviews very seriously and have a number of anti-fake policies that prevent false reviews from happening. Our prepaid postage labels are tracked and insured. We also have a free returns policy meaning that the decision is always in the customer's hands whether they choose to accept or decline the offer. Rip off merchants....Cost of Living Crisis, taking total advantage of the desperation of people struggling to make ends meet...Of course they are not struggling, they are making a fat profit out of people's adversity....Don't part with your items if you think they are valuable, I got £29 for a box of items where at least one of the items was worth that and more.....

No star should be given to this company. They are a scam company who is not honest even on their website. Nowhere on the website says that the weight must be 5 kilos or at least it is not visible at all on the website! I sent them a lot of stuff which was of high quality jewellery and the price they offered was very insulting. They are absolutely waste of time. You might as well give to charity. At least, you would have done some good deed with that. Please do not use this company. No wonder, most of the people have given them only 1 star.

I am so sorry to hear you were unhappy with the offer you received from us, Our appraisers assess the age, authenticity, quality, and condition of the items and consider the value of the items within the second-hand marketplace when making their offers. We do mention on our website, and in our terms and conditions to try to send more than 4 categories of items in order to maximise the offer given. Our offers are based on what we can expect to make from the items in our outlets, and we do offer slightly less in order to maintain a viable business. I can see that the items sent to us were silver plated cutlery, and costume jewellery, with a small amount of silver too, Unfortunately, silver plate only contains 2-5% actual silver content, and as the items weren't rare, this would affect the offer given. Costume jewellery is such a saturated area of the vintage market, and as such this would have also affected the offer given, as quite a lot was sent. We do always offer a free returns service, for customers who are unhappy with the offer they receive, and I am pleased to hear you chose to have your items returned back to you for free. My experience with Vintage Cash Cow was appalling I sent a box of items including a ring that had cost around £200.00 when brought, other items which I felt were worth something including a camera, some china etc, the offer that was sent wasn't worth talking about! Also when I turned offer down I was told that items had been damaged on arrival which I find hard to believe as everything was bubble wrapped, padded out and well and secured, on the return of my parcel a china cup and saucer had been broken looked as though it had been dropped, but because it supposedly had no value Vintage cash cow couldn't claim on there insurance!! Im sure there are people out there that have been satisfied with the service they have received, but sadly I wasn’t and will never send any items again to them I would rather sell on Ebay!

Having looked at the account I can see that there were a lot of breakable items sent to us, which unfortunately we cannot accept as we are a postal service, as they do often end up damaged to us. This is in our terms and conditions of service, and featured in the brochure and website. We unfortunately are unable to submit claims with Parcelforce for items that are damaged if a breakable item was included in the parcel, as this voids the insurance we have with them I'm afraid. We do offer a free returns service for anyone who is unhappy with the offer they receive, so I am pleased to see you chose to have your items returned back to you. Sent items carefully packed as several pieces fragile jewellery and received back all jumbled together and 3 broken pieces, not all in transit but due to lack of car at the Cash cow staff.

I have sent in a couple of boxes now, the first box obviously had all the best stuff in there from my attic, and I got a fab price. The 2nd box not quite such good stuff and got a lot less…. what did I expect? We’ve all got a living to make, and I was pleased to clear the attic and get a few quid in the process. Thank you, 1.
