“Useful service but not sure I would use them again. Too many emails. Time limit on labels fictitious. Three items of value (a brooch and two coins) not accurately appraised. Return offered without adjustment of offer. Accepted offer. Decided against return of coins but asked for brooch. Arrived badly damaged, inadequately packaged (but possibly already damaged before return), mistake in valuation acknowledged, compensation paid. Customer facing staff polite and helpful but some delays in resolving problem. Advice - make sure you know the details of anything you think is particularly valuable and be prepared to quote them. Ask for a second appraisal of an item if dissatisfied. Ask for time to make decisions about accepting the offer and/or possible (part) returns. Be aware that it appears unlikely that items will be returned in their original boxes.”

Hi Barbara, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. First of all, I'm very sorry for the delay in getting the issue with your return resolved. Based on your experience, our returns process has been updated and improved, with our team using specific boxes for small part returns, to prevent damage in the post. We do state in the Terms and Conditions on our website that all offers are made with a 14-day window in which customers can let us know if they choose to accept or decline. However, you are correct in that using an auction would be much more effort. Where we excel is making the decluttering experience a hassle-free and efficient one. We make decluttering as simple as having your box of items collected from your door! “Very quick to get my goods but was very disappointed with the value. Managed to get a couple of my items back, however I rang back the same day to ask for a particular item back for which I knew was worth a great deal more than they offered and was told it was too late. Very disappointed. I hate being ripped off!!”

We do detail in our Terms and Conditions how items are processed once an offer has been accepted, and these explain that the items are separated it is not possible to decline or request items to be returned, as by accepting an offer you are entering into a binding legal contract in which the ownership of the items transfers to our company. “Very pleasant to deal with but the offer was ridiculously low - £42 for two very large boxes of silver plated items in mint condition.plus other items. I didn't have to take the offer and they wouldn't reconsider it so I accepted and the cheque was with me in a few days”

“Great service, clear at every stage. Friendly call team too. The only improvement I could think to make would be to offer at the clients expense a return of the items not purchased. Often you pop something in the box to see if it has value but wouldn’t mind it back if it didn’t.”
