I am beyond angry with this company I sent alot of silver jewellery in boxes in bags all in a sorted way. After declining there offer and said just send my items back they have been returned all tangled up I can't even use them I'm distraught over this I've taken photos I expected it to be returned in same state it was sent I've cried for hours

Items sent to them early october-offer made which I accepted-they got the sort code wrong and as at today 11th November they still haven't paid me. I was told last Wednesday the money would be in my account within 48 hours. I'm determined to get paid but I won't risk using them again.

Borderline scam. Way below market value offer Claimed items broken however these are supposed to be insured so should stiĺ have been covered and valued. Took over a week to receive any contact from them then finally a phone call during an evening leaving no time to think about the offer. Felt very pressured into making an instant decision. Very poor company, if you want good advice, do NOT bother dealing with them!

We sent cameras, binoculars, and various other items, some jewellery. Was offered £124.54, or thereabouts. One of the cameras was probably worth £60 on its own. After speaking to my husband they said they would round it up, which of course they didn’t. They really are rip off merchants, and probably making a fortune out of our items. I can’t believe so much would go missing, damaged or stolen. They have a slick machine. And should be taken off the TV. After all, we keep sending things, they keep lying.

Hi I had several communication with your company over a Ring that wasn’t returned, I have been told by customer care that it was seen on cct being packed & sent , however I only received a completely empty box no ring no ring box nothing! I have been told there’s nothing I can do ! I therefore am saying your company have been negligent in not keeping my safe in returning it safely. I have asked to speak to a manager over this matter I have had no response to emails or phone calls! Citizens Advice have told me to contact you again . Please can you help

Our Customer Care team has looked into this and they have seen on the CCTV footage that the ring was packed into the box for return. The CCTV footage shows the ring being placed into a small ziplock bag, which is then placed inside the ring box and included inside the returned parcel. As there is evidence that shows that the ring was included in the returned parcel there isn't anything further we can do. Super low value offered so asked for items to be returned. A white gold diamond ring with a loose emerald, the emerald hasn’t made it back. And a tissot watch with a broken bezel, that also didn’t get returned! Not happy

Beware before excepting any cash offer on costume jewellery, I've just sold a third of the quantity I sent to Vintage Cash Cow to an antique shop for three times the amount VVC offered me for all of it.

I sent a box of items (mantle clock, watches, gold & silver jewellery) in box and labelled as instructed with labels provided by Vintage Cash Cow when I registered my interest. I posted box off, via Royal Mail and luckily received a receipt with the tracking number. The reason I chose this company was I believed I had nothing to lose as if I didn't think their offer was fair I could get my items back. How wrong was I! Alarm bells started ringing when I started receiving emails saying my time was running out to avail of freepost offer and emails about not using company. On receipt of these emails I checked my tracking number which advised me the parcel had been delivered to it's destination. Concerned I rang the company abd spoke with customer services. I was told my parcel appeared to have been mislaid and ths would be referred to customer care section and should receive an update from them. I was asked what was in the parcel, and advised (off top of my head) what was in the parcel. At this point I did not provide an accurate and full itinerary. When no update. either by email or call, was received I sent an email for an update which was unanswered so called again, and was told the parcel appeared to be lost. When I received a call from customer services i was told that the parcel was lost and was offered £90 insurance which was the maximum that could be offered based on what I had previously advised was in the box. I advised that this was not acceptable as the list I had advised was not the complete list of what was in the box. I was advised that £90 was the maximum amount that would be offered to me, unless I had evidence of what was sent and values of same. This would have involved me listing each item I had posted and gathering evidence of similar items sold on ebay, or recent proof of valuations, which I neither had the time or inclination to do (after all that was supposed to be the beauty of the service - put it in a box and the company does the rest). When I asked if I could make a complaint I was told I was speaking to the person who dealt with complaints, who told me that they can't please everybody when I mentioned I was sorry I had not read the company revirws prior to even thinking of using the service. I reluctantantly agreed to accept the £90 offer as the items I had sent were mainly my mothers and I felt bad having encouraged her to use the company. Again when I sent an email to advise of this I had to chase it up with a phone call to get a response. My saving grace in all this was that I got a tracking number otherwise I would have had no redress at all.

Items not valued very high. Requested items to be returned. Two most valuable ladro figurines - 1 returned badly damaged and the other not returned at all (stolen). We are extremely upset and emailed vintage cash cow regarding this. Just received email quoting t’s and c’s. No explanation as to where the missing figurine is. I would urge anyone thinking of using them to think carefully before entrusting your items with them. Signed very unhappy customer

I am sorry to hear that our offer was lower than you had hoped but I am glad to hear that you made use of our free returns policy and declined the offer as we'd never want a customer to accept an offer that they're not happy with. I can see from your account that, unfortunately, the Lladro figurines arrived to us broken, so they were damaged in transit. Unfortuantely, we don't accept any breakable items such as those made of glass, porcelain, ceramic, crystal, etc. as they are too fragile for our postal service and aren't covered by our insurance. It is stated in our brochure, our website, and our Terms and Conditions that we don't accept breakable items and that they fall under our restricted category list and therefore aren't covered by our insurance. We do our best to return breakables to a customer, but if they are a safety risk to our appraisers, returns team, our courier, or to you the customer, we dispose of them as stated in our Terms and Conditions, as it is not safe. We always advise that customers read our Terms and Conditions and that they give us a call to discuss their items before sending them to ensure that you don't send us any items that we can't accept. We understand that it will be disappointing that we can't do anything further, but it is clearly laid out in our Terms and Conditions that our insurance doesn't cover breakables. Sent some broken costume jewellery, old copper pre decimal coins, a tom tom, 2 old cameras, calculators and old watches.. expected £30.. was hoping for £50. Was very shocked to be offered £194 for stuff that would have ended up in a charity shop

So, I contacted Vintage Cash Cow to inform them that I had not heard anything from them regarding the package I sent 3 weeks ago. They said they would look into it. I also sent proof of postage. Didn't hear anything so I emailed again. Got a standard reply stating my email had been received and someone would get back to me. They didn't! So I decided to ring and speak to someone. I gave up after waiting 17 minutes for my call to be answered. Appalling customer service. I will be taking the matter further.

Sent a mixed bag of silver, coins, silver goblets, plus a Konica camera. We heard nothing for ten days, when we eventually spoke to someone they said they didn't have our parcel. However the tracking from Parcel force shows delivery and who signed for it. We were told someone would contact us within 5 days but over a week later nobody has bothered. We are now unable to contact them, the phone is constantly engaged. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THESE SCAMMERS !!

Difficult to get in touch with or for them to get in touch with me. Can't have phone on me at work, so several missed calls both ways before offer received. Offer given over phone which I accepted sounded like £456. Then got confirmation by email,text which said £156. Tried contacting again to say didn't want to accept this offer , again couldn't get through on phone so replied to their text offer message, they confirmed receipt and said it would be looked into. Heard nothing else from them. I'd sent 6 gold rings, some vintage 1950 pearls, war medals amongst other things. Disgusting

I have been waiting for a quote from vintage cash cow for about 9 days now, but today I received a call offering me £20 for my parcel that by the way had at the very least £300 worth of vintage and antique items including sterling silver cutlery vintage dolls vintage hats basically all sorts. It is a bloody liberty, they are nothing short of thieves...

I was promised a call with a 1-hour range. It did not come. When I check I got a promise to call back the next day. At 17:45 I was told the call might be the following day. I said that this was unacceptable to be told they would get back "as soon as possible." They did not call on the day. This was all before I even sent anything - so glad I didn't. Would never use them now.

It’s a shame you can’t give 0 stars. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THESE SCAMMERS. Sent my box over 3 weeks ago didn’t hear anything after 2 weeks so contacted them for them to say they haven’t received my box even though I had an email from them saying they had received it. I also sent them proof of postage receipt. Every time I contact them they bat me off with someone will contact you soon and of course no one ever does contact. Absolutely disgusting service and reading the other reviews it’s a common problem, and all the replies are the same scripted nonsense. My sister in law is a fraud solicitor and she is looking into taking this further for me. If they think they can carry on doing this with no action taken against them their time is up.

People. Please wise up. Do not send your precious metals to these companies as you will receive a fraction of the price of its worth. Instead take your precious items to be appraised personally by A respected dealer. Gold is at an all-time high at the moment. Do your research and seek a fair price.

Do not send your Gold or Silver under any circumstances. I sent a large mixed box of costume jewelery, a brand named watch and a small amount of gold and silver. I was offered £47 for everything which I rejected. I then took the gold and silver to a local shop who paid me £212 for that alone. The process of sending/return was smooth but the offer was offensive and dishonest.

Clearly vintage cash overall review rating is not accurate and I wouldn't recommend anyone sending anything as you are basically ripped off as I have been.
