“It's a very useful tool for my purposes. However, I have some issues/concerns: 1) it's kinda sluggish, esp when I'm using my 11in MacBook Air. I basically am unable to work on any scribe project on my MBA. So I have to do it all on my iMac at home which greatly limits my mobility. 2) using and getting used to the canvass is quite daunting. I'm always having issues in sizing my objects. 3) the resulting MOV files are humongous! Even for relatively short clips. 4) it doesn't accept special symbols. Would be ideal if it can work with RTF character set, emojis, math symbols, etc. sometimes when I copy and paste from an external source (eg,, word document) it won't accept even if just all text. 5) very few and hardly useful available free SVG images. The 'for sale' images are very expensive! $3+ for a very simple image?!”

Thanks for the review and suggestions Bong. Without people taking the time to tell us what we need to do to improve we wouldn't have known. I'll pass on your comments to the team and see if we can do something about this. As for the images our illustrators are working on new and free images as we speak so keep an eye out! “I've only just started using Video Scribe and already I find it the easiest to use by far. I'm not very techie and even I can use it, I like how easy they make it to produce nice whiteboard animations. Great product!”

“The product is great! User friendly and fun to play around with. A lot of possibilities exist to create imaginative presentations. However, the issue I had with the product was the confusing subscription information. The purchasing of and payments were not clear and I ended up canceling my subscription for a full refund.”

“Very nice program and relatively easy to manipulate. One thing I did not like is that in free version it is mentioned that some images in library become available after upgrading to paid version. This is not completely true, since in the paid version, you need to pay additional for those images. It contains still some bugs and some UI interaction which is not completely natural.”

“I felt in love with it from the first 10 minutes. It's very handy and easy to use. It has a lot of creative possibilities and the results are completely professional. I cannot be more happy for having bought it. :) Congrats Sparkol!”

“VideoScribe is a one-trick pony, and a simple program. You can't exactly place a drawing or photo, you can't see any values like scaling, x and y value. You can't place images BEHIND another image, only in front of it. It's a pity, I'd like to see more possibilities to place a drawing EXACTLY, or to replace an image exactly.”

“As I bought videoscribe - I really expected much more pictures in your library - if you search for example for 'secret', or 'pyramid' - almost nothing is found... and you either need to buy them or go through a lot of effort to make them. Something else - I would expect that it is easier to streamline voice and audio - for example - if I only want audio to start from a certain picture onwards - this does not seem possible... I like the program and its usability - but I think it needs to mature Thanks for the training videos by the way - they are nice”

“A few things i think would make video scribe better and more user friendly - 1. 'Erase' tool should automatically change to the colour you have changed your background too. 2. A lock image tool would be very useful. 3. Grids with millimetres. Grids should also stay on when saved, exited and reopened. 4. SVG/PNG/JPEG files of my own get very blurred when imported into video scribe - no better when exported. 5. When making longer videos, pressing the back button to get to the beginning of your video scribe is tedious. A scroll bar would also be very useful. 6. Cut button is too close to the set camera button, it makes it very easy to cut something you don't want too, especially when the undo button doesn't work properly. 7. Layering things onto of each other would be good too. Having things pop up at exactly the same time would help.”

“I think this software is exellent, It is easy to learn, but need some time to get realy good in using it. Haven't learn much about export /import from other images yet, I've only used it for a couple of weeks. But it is already fun to use.”

“VideoScribe offers so much but delivers little. The end result is great , but the user experience is poor (they could learn a lot from Prezi). One of the most infuriating things is it is constantly non-responsive; everything freezes and you often have to wait minutes before being able to do anything. This dramatically increases the time it takes to produce a video. So, I'll continue to use it - it wasn't cheap - but I won't enjoy it.”

“Very easy to learn and use but have to see the video tutorials (easy to follow) and read blogs from time to time. The visuals are good and the end product is quite useful. It is very bad though, that the library of images is very limited after upgrading to the full version. Each additional image that you purchase is not cheap considering you have to pay every time you need a new image.”

“Easy to use and the end product looks great. A lovely way to get a short message across. Text and graphics can be incorporated and manipulated with ease. A little disappointed to see so many of the images are charged for...and not cheap either. Overall a package that gives you maximum output for minimum input.. You can make a few simple sentences look really special with very little experience of using graphics”
