The software they provide is extremely poor quality and crashes all the time. It lacks many features that are needed to make any useful videos. Completely useless. Adding voice to it is extremely hard. Reminds me of windows 98!

The Presentation Openers and Closures was extremely effective. My students especially enjoyed analyzing the openers because of the embedded TedTalk videos. As a result, I am expecting to find growth in these areas of their presentations. The service that I received was extremely helpful as well. I emailed late on a Friday and had a response waiting for me Monday morning when I opened my email.

Buyer Beware. I purchased this software a year ago to try it out. I ended up using it once as I found it to be dated and less versatile than Vyond, Doodley, or Toonly. Recently I was hit was an annual charge. There was no reminder warning me that I would be charged for another year. When I contacted the company they were very rude and unwilling to refund the money. Stating that "sometimes" they send a reminder email. I was never notified that I would be charged much less that the amount would be nearly $40 more than what I had paid the previous year. Not only did the unexpected charge cause problems for me at the bank, but now I'm stuck paying for software that I'm not even using. Do yourself a favor and go with Vyond. Its more expensive but is alot better quality wise, not to mention much better than going with a service that preys on unsuspecting customers who forgot that they tried the service over a year ago.

Sorry to hear you've not been happy with the service. We're always open to feedback but there are a couple of things in your comments which I believe you have misunderstood and I would like to set the record straight on. 1 - We guarantee that we will send a reminder email at least 2 weeks before payment on the yearly plan and would offer a refund if we failed to do so (we actually send 2 in the month before). What we said in our message to you is 'We understand that subscriptions can be forgotten sometimes' we then go on to say 'so we send 2 renewal reminder emails as a heads up'. I've checked your account and I can see the reminder emails we sent, and marked as delivered. 2 - As for the price, that's not changed. When we've put our prices up in the past we've never passed that onto existing customers, they still pay what they originally agreed. If we did decide to change that in the future we would inform you so you could cancel if you were unhappy. The yearly subscription was $168.00 when you joined us and this was clear on the pricing page and at the checkout. You used a '20% off your first year' discount code which is the reason for the lower initial charge. I can see you have a ticket with our support team so I will contact you personally via that to answer any follow-up questions you may have to this information.

So I have a month since I've started using VideoScribe, I've used the software everyday for some projects that needed to be finished faster, than they took me in After Effects and I can't say that I'll renew my subscription. The images that they offer you for free are few and for videos with financial topics you need lots of animations that kind of make you to purchase them - and some of them have prices like eur20 - or make your own svgs for later use in VideoScribe which takes time, lots of time. Also the software is limited, simple animations like object rotation, scale, or move position look awful, or don't work at all. I'll keep trying on different doodle software's, but VideoScribe... I can only recommend it to beginners who only have like text projects.

I have been using Videoscribe for several years and appreciate the company's efforts to continually improve the software. When there is an issue, their customer service representatives goes above and beyond to help resolve the issue. Recently, I had to replace a ten-year-old MacBook, which was a bit of a nightmare. Sparkol's team responded immediately, offered specific instructions, and worked hands on to help recover all of my scribes and get them working on the new device. Although the monthly cost is a little high, they offer a bulk price, which really makes the software affordable. Considering the tremendous increase in demand for internet marketing throughout the pandemic, there are so many ways to use this software for good in our local business communities. This has been the worst program. It has crashed many many times, losing SO much of my content numerous times. It has lost me so much time and money. I spent hours and hours re-creating what I already created (multiple times because, with each crash, content was lost). There are an incredible number of bugs and I will not be using this program again. What a headache! *Ironic note: I HAVE to use this to finish up the last section of my video, because I already have invested an insane amount of hours into this video through this program. As I was writing this, VideoScribe froze in the background. I clicked Save numerous times. The program didn't respond. I went to close the page - the program didn't respond. I ended the Task and when reopened - Surprise! It didn't save, though I clicked Save multiple times. It lost the last two hours of my work. Thank you, VideoScribe, for making this project miserable.

I've been a subscriber to VideoScribe for a year and a half, having chosen it over other software for various reasons. But I want to mention here the very good customer service I've gotten. There have been a couple times when the video was not "rendering" properly, and I've contacted them. If there's a simple problem, I can usually figure it out myself, so I only ask for help on the really mysterious and messy ones. The VideoScribe people have uniformly been very helpful and personal and persistent in solving the issues. I could sometimes wish they were open on weekends, so there's occasionally a lag. But they have been not only competent, but involved in whatever issue I've had. Very good customer contact and service.

I’m a newbie to the whole video scribe world. I’m also tech challenged. One thing for sure the team at video scribe are on point with customer service. I live in the US so we have a time difference but those guys go above and beyond to note that and get my inquiry solved as soon as time allows. They reach out to find out if support was helpful. If I’m still struggling some one higher up will chime in and hold my hand. This is what it means to run a a credible business. They will not allow my lack of knowledge to hinder my success on their platform and with their product. This is how it should be with all businesses, going above and beyond to keep your customers happy. Thanks Video scribe team.

I didn’t realise my account was on auto renew and requested a refund the same day I was charged for one year. Despite not having used the product for over 9 months previously and it clearly being a mistake to not have cancelled auto renew, Sparkol flat refused any refund unlike LinkedIn where I had the same issue and they refunded immediately.
