Milly my jrt took ill on bank holiday Took her in to vets now. Had a long wait as a very sick elderly dog was being dealt with. Milly was seen by a vet that put me at ease and gave me antibiotics for her diarrhoea. Lady on reception was very friendly and helpful about insurance policy. Milly is two days into her treatment and doing well😀

Not sure how I felt about paying £161 for a consultation and then quoted me £1600 to stitch up our dog, so I took our dog to a loacal village vet he told us to come straight over and charged us £380 for the lot...... something really doesn’t seem right up your end....

Hi Mr Keane. Thanks for your feedback. We're the UK's leading provider of out-of-hours emergency and critical care and as such we have the highest possible clinical standards. Out-of-hours emergency care can be expensive, particularly if surgery is involved, and we have a handy article that explains why this is the case: https://www.vets-now.com/2017/02/emergency-vet-visit/ Hopefully this will give you some clarity as to how your fees are spent. Kind regards, Kirsty

Absolutely disgusting place. Rude, ignorant receptionist and uncaring vet with no compassion. Purely in the job for the money. Would never go again and would advise others not to. Not even worthy of 1 star.

The treatment and service given to both our dog and us from the moment we entered till we collected her was exceptional and made all the difference when we were desperately worried about her.

Vet was First class but I felt that for an emergency service staff were very thon on the ground d eg. one vet nurse to attend to overnight stay animals. Not satisfactory especially in view of prices charged.

Hi Miss McCaulley, thanks for taking the time to leave this review. I'm sorry you feel this way. Often one vet and one nurse is all that is required to care for inpatients overnight. Our staff work exclusively out-of-hours so come in refreshed and ready for the night shift. Many times there are additional animal care assistants working with the team overnight as well. Please be assured all the pets in our care receive the highest possible level of care, reflective of our position as the UK's leading provider of emergency out-of-hours care. Kind regards - Kirsty

They were accessible, took my dog straight away ...however I do feel they are extremely costly ....£200 for 10 minutes or so.....

Hi Helen, thanks for taking the time to leave us this review, I'm so glad we were there for your dog. It's true that out-of-hours emergency veterinary treatment is expensive, which is why we fully advocate for comprehensive pet insurance for all responsible pet owners to cover for these circumstances. We've put together a handy article which explains where your fee goes, which we hope will be helpful in giving a bit more context to the cost: https://www.vets-now.com/2017/02/emergency-vet-visit/ Kind regards, Kirsty

I did not feel that the vet that saw my dog was very experienced or knew what she was talking about. Considering I had to pay £150 for an emergency out of hours appointment I would expect a decent vet to be seeing my dog. I left the vets feeling un-reassured and with more worries that I went in with. I feel angry that I called up for advise prior to going to the vets and was advised that my dog definitely did need to see a vet, I then turned up and the lady was struggling to communicate in English with me or seem to know what to do.

Having made this first visit, i was very impressed by the cleanliness...and the ladies on reception were very friendly and informative. As i am on benefits , the receptionist told me the cost and a friend agreed to pay for the treatment off my best pal, my cat. The Vet was very friendly and was so kind to me and the cat...all through the consultation she explained what she was doing and the cost of further treatment...all in all an asset to Vets Now

We were able to see the vet immediately. Great communication throughout. A bit of constructive feedback, I googled emergency vets and it came up with the whyefueld version. I told the lady at that vet that we were in Macclesfield. There was a much closer vets now in Macclesfield and she didn’t mention it. It would’ve been more efficient to tell me there was a closer place to take the dog. Overall though, great service when we really needed it. Much appreciated
