Where do I start... The whole service for myself and Brodie (my Dog) was fantastic!! I was so upset, but they let me see where she was staying, and didn't mind me ringing up a lot!!

Took my dog there, out of hours, with acute colitis. Very kind & thorough. Put my mind at rest & felt I could phone for further advice if required. Worth the money paid for professional advice & support

Had to wait for 1hr 30mins to see a vet while my dog was having a really bad seizure with her eyes rolling about in her head. First vet that saw her was not very good, the vet on the evening shift though was excellent.

The medical service could not be faulted. Although my cat’s condition could unfortunately not be cured, it was extremely comforting that you were able to see us immediately on our arrival, and give us that appointment as soon as we phoned without having to wait. This made a very distressing time a little easier. The medical staff were professional and respectful in the situation, and understood our being upset that he had to be put down. The only negative aspect of the experience with Vets Now was in the post-treatment administration, in which I supplied a copy of an insurance claim form, the second page of which had to be completed by the vet. Despite our being charged a fee for completion of this, the form was originally sent to the insurer without having been completed by the vet. This caused delays and problems in resolving the claim. Under the circumstances, I think the fee for completing the insurance form should have been refunded, and it is that aspect that prevented awarding a fifth star. But I cannot fault the emergency service treatment, and thank the staff for being so responsive.

Disappointing service at a difficult and upsetting time. I was charged over £150 for a consultation in which the vet took my rabbit's temperature and listened to her heartbeat, before telling me that she was very ill, which as an experienced rabbit owner was obvious, and there was nothing that they could do for her. This wasn't unexpected but I feel that given the short consultation, the fee was excessive, even for a bank holiday. The vet did not appear to be at all confident with rabbits. I wasn't allowed to stay with my pet whilst she was put to sleep, which I found very distressing. The only explanation offered for this was that the gas used to sedate her couldn't be used when a member of the public was present. The vet wasn't confident to put the injection into her ear and said it would have to go into her chest, which was also distressing to hear. I was asked if I would like to use their recommended cremation service for over £200. When I declined and made my own arrangements (which cost £70), I was charged a "handling" fee of £30 for them to keep my deceased pet overnight. Quite what this was to cover, I am not sure. Obviously she didn't need feeding or looking after. When I saw my rabbit after she had died, her eyes were bulging which I have not experienced with any of my previous rabbits when they have died, and which was also very upsetting. They seemed totally confused that I had made my own arrangements for cremation and there was much insistence that I would need to ring back in the morning before the surgery switched over to the daytime staff to ensure that they could arrange for my pet to be handed over to the crematorium collection driver. I wasn't left feeling confident that my pet would be treated with respect. All in all, I feel the fees are excessive and that this is exploiting people when they are at their most vulnerable. As they offer the emergency vet service, people have little choice but to use them.

Very expensive for a Sunday visit, but they sorted my dog out so can't really complain. She was near death and was much better by the next day. They gave me a cheaper alternative to the £700 that it would have cost for a drip for 7 hours.

The journey from Scunthorpe to Doncaster was distressing for my pet. However the service there is good. Was kept waiting but there were poorlier pets than mine and they prioritised well.
