Torn ear - now looks awful, part missing and have been told by other vets that should have been debrided and stitched rather than just cleaned and glued. Glue quickly came unstuck resulting in split appearing again. Also quickly got infected as preventative antibiotics were not given.

Got sent home with our dog which we found out two days later that he broke his leg. We could of been referred that night by your team but no we never. £200 fee for nothing but tremodol & anti inflammatory. My dog was screaming with pain until we went to our vets first thing Monday morning. I will be taking this further with management.

Unfortunately, on Sunday evening my partner and I returned home to find our Russian dwarf hamster trapped beneath his sand bed (a ceramic bowl filled with cleaning sand). We both presumed the worst as he looked lifeless. He was completely flat with an eye bulging and his spine looked broken. His whole body was flattened along with his head. He had blood covering his chin and his jaw looked broken. We obviously rushed him to the vets 4 pets out of hours emergency on Moor Lane Preston. I was told to take a seat after my name was taken and there was extremely minimal conversation as to why we were there. An hour and a half passed and we still hadn’t been seen. I am a very understanding person and knew that out of hour vets do get busy however I felt as though we’d been pushed aside because we having a hamster seen rather than a dog or a cat. After waiting our hamster was taken to be weighed. A further 10 minutes passed which was the most stressful moment as I didn’t know what happening with my pet. We were told to go into the room in which I found the lid of the tub that my hamster was in half shut over him possibly causing more stress to him. I was then told that the vet hadn’t found the weights so I was confused as to what she had been doing in this time. After weighing him finally she began her examination. She had a clear fear of being bitten by my hamster which I found rather unprofessional. We told her what had happened and she told me that I had mistook pink on his lip as blood, I told her I had seen blood but that I might have been wrong. She got a wet piece of cotton and began swabbing his chest, there was blood. As she was wiping his chest my hamster began to squeal as he was in pain. The vets response to the was “do you want to do this as he’s more comfortable with you.” I feel as though she did this from fear of being bit but tried to act as though it was for the hamsters benefit. We were halfway through our appointment and the vet left for approximately 10-15 minutes because another emergency had come in. I felt very pushed aside which angered me as my pet was in distress and it was an on/off experience as he would settle then she would return to continue looking at him. Finally she returned with two needles for my dwarf hamster that were the left of him. She grabbed the hamster and proceeded to stab him in which he tried to escape from her grasp. She told us she would need her colleague to help and took our hamster away after we’d watched her physically hurt. She returned in 10 seconds saying that he’d had the needles. She said that was it and all we had to do was pay. We were given no medicine at all even though he could be prone to infection from a cut on his jaw and a cut above his eye. We had to pay £122, I am not bothered about the cost as I would pay anything for my pet. I am bothered about the treatment I received. In fact I am utterly disgusted. I returned to my own vets the next day in which they gave me Metacam and I was told I should have already been given this so I was even more angered that they hadn’t prescribed medicine to help my pet get better. I hope you take this review seriously as I am extremely disappointed and to be quite frank worried that these vets treat sick pets.

The vet was very kind, calm and sympathetic. It was a very distressing time, and I felt that waiting for the invoice immediately after whilst they were trying to add everything on wasn't very pleasant. I had to wait there around 15 minutes before I was told they would sort it and call me later.

Shocked and traumatised. We was very distressed at having our pet euphonised & more didtressed at being told options are a) take her home or b) they can arrange cremation for £300!! it was heat wave and was worried about her decomposing quickly but hadnt got an additional £300. In the end they agreed to keep her overnight. Euphonasia cost £250. when I went to collect her the next day they couldnt find her initially and waited what seemed forever.

It was all ok however the vet who saw seemed very unhappy and was openly agitated with the lovely receptionist due to the lack of information sent by pets at home. When you go with a loved dog whom we knew would not be coming home it seemed abit uncaring.
