Rubbish my cat got hit by a car- they wanted payment details from the Wrexham branch before they would give me an up date as she was- they took an excess payment off me cash which they should not have done and never provided a receipt did no treatment and I was told by my normal vet the delay coat my cat it’s life - they were rude off hand in personal and made it all about the money even though all they did was provide a painkiller and oxygen £600 ridiculous- as far as I am concerned I hope no one I know has to use them - heartless no empathy and rude - even when I rung to explain I had recently diagnosed heart failure and I need to keep My stress levels down they said they couldn’t stop letters coming even though the claim was being processed - horrid vile and disgusting people in the Wrexham branch and the woman who worked in finance would be better in a none customer role - maybe working on her own as not fit for human interaction.

I came in for a simple anti-biotic treatment. I was left minor traumatised because I was told that my dog “needed” multiple operations. This, i was told after an examination that lasted less than 10 seconds. After a second opinion it is clear you tried getting as much money as possible out of me for unneeded precedures.

First of all sending a TEXT at 01.58am is completely inappropriate! Waiting a full month to ask for feedback is also inappropriate! Those aside; the receptionist had a terrible attitude, very grumpy & abrupt, especially when dealing with people worried sick about their pets. In fact the first thing she felt the need to say to me was ‘it will cost at least £150’. I would rethink having someone like that front of house, if anywhere! The vet/vet assistant was great, great attitude, lovely woman, explained everything & very empathetic, which is what should expect. Although the shave job done on my bitch to do her scan was horrific, i dont expect a salon finish but it was a hack job. All in i paid £209, which for a charity organisation was way excessive especially with my low income! On our departure i was directed straight to the desk to pay, but i was confused to see a woman & her kids stroll out behind me without paying. Can someone advise the circumstances where you wouldnt have to pay? Given my grotesquely high bill i was perplexed by this! All in all not a experience i would care to repeat, in fact i would go elsewhere next time if required. And itemised billing should be standard practice. I have a bill with no info of what i paid for! I have no way to show the stud owner that my bitch was not pregnant! I am therefore out £250 for the stud fee & £209 for a bad haircut, bad attitude & a scan that for all i know never happened. I do hope my feedback is helpful to you at now 2.19am, although i am sure it is more like you wish you had never asked. Also my name is McDade!

Our much loved pet Kita visited vets now Manchester and was really poorly. We were assigned to James, a highly qualified vet who treated kita as if she was his own dog. Every diagnosis was explored from minor to major treatment. We highly recommend vets now Manchester and thank you to all staff from the vets all the way through to receptionists, from Kita and all her human family xx

The people on the phone were very helpful and informative of what they could do to help my guinea pig when he was in pain and suffering from bloat. They made sure I knew the costs involved before bringing him in. Once I was there, they were very supportive, and even though it was too late to help him (he passed away on the journey there), they still tried their best to help.

The receptionist greeted us by making a point of telling us, in great detail, how busy she was. More time was spent telling all of sundry that she was so busy that an unnecessary queue formed for no apparent reason. She told all those waiting that an emergency patient was being rushed in. (An old labrabour with a dislocated leg). I and many others were still waiting when it became obvious that the aforementioned pet was in the car outside the practice awaiting help to come in. The receptionist offered said help and shouted for what I assume was a vetinary nurse. No one came. She shouted again. It was obvious that the pet was in great pain and its mum and dad were besides themselves. She shouted again and what can only can be described as a reluctant nurse sauntered to the front desk. She casually and slowly went to help. At this point, I was besides myself what with a poorly cat and witnessing such a poorly dog and no one was rushing to help him. We were then called. My cat had a swollen foot, it came out of nowhere and as he is so old, I didn’t want him to wait a whole weekend before taking him to my vet. (A vet I trust and love). The practice vet looked, not touched, Tony, my boy, and informed myself and my partner that he thought he’d been run over. At this point, he touched his paw, and told me it was broken and there were a number of options available to us. He explained that due to Tony’s age and existing medical complaints: heart mumur, kidney issues and a pin in his back leg; it was likely than an amputation was likely but that we’d need to be aware that he might not survive the surgery. The vet wouldn’t be able to do anything for his foot there and then but could offer very light pain relief until we could take him to my see my own vet. I burst into tears and couldn’t take it in. What I was able to suggest, through tears and disbelieve, was that I thought Tony had just got his toe nails caught or crossed over in a fight hence the swollen and disfigured appearance of the foot. The vet then said he’d take Tony into the back. He took him to another room, where I couldn’t see my cat and left myself and partner in the small treatment room. He returned about a minute later and confirmed my thoughts and said that he toe nails were just caught and that he would clip them! He left to clip Tony’s nails in the back room. Still crying, I couldn’t believe what had just happened. Tony was returned after a few minutes and had received a injection of pain relief just in case the clipping had hurt. I could hardly speak and was just glad my boy was fixed and well. The vet apologised for worrying me, left me to put Tony in his carrier and said he would type up a bill and for us to wait at reception for my bill. I asked my partner to take Tony to the car and I’d wait to settle the bill. Yet again, the receptionist declared how busy and behind she was and left me to wait at least 5 minutes until I could pay my bill. Obviously, all I wanted to do was to take my cat home. In comparison, I know that Tony wasn’t in any danger but I needed to know he wasn’t in pain hence the trip to the emergency vets. There were other pets waiting that were obviously unwell and all we needed to know was that the vets were working hard to see them and not how hard a job running reception was or that the phones were running out of beatteries or that the printer was slow printing bills. I still can’t process what was said to my about my beloved pet. I’d gone and had to contemplate an amputation and his possible demise for him only needing his nails clipped. Would I visit again? Absolutely not. If Tony was ever poorly again when my brilliant vet was shut, I ring round everywhere until I found one that was open before using you again.
