All the vets I have seen when i have had to visit have been very professional, informative and thorough. Only criticism I have is that I had to provide my Vets direct number which I was assured by my Vets that VetsNow had on file to get my cats medical records in an emergency

My 2 yr old had a trauma yesterday. Bleeding from her back end I rushed her in, your vet explained very clearly everything that needed doing. As she is INSURED I thought they would be paying after I put the claim in. When landed with a bill for £550 I asked what do you do if you don’t have the money up front? The receptionist told me “euthanise her”. I’ve had to put the bill on my credit card with no credit! I’m getting charged 24.9% a day for going over until the money comes in. Take into consideration those with NO spare cash!!!!

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us. Unfortunately, the nature of emergency out-of-hours care is that where possible, the majority of fees must be paid upfront and claimed back from insurance. This is our standard procedure, however for those who can’t afford the full treatment, we may be able to tailor the treatment options to suit a restricted budget. If this is the case, your vet will discuss with you the potential risks of declining any aspect of the recommended diagnostic/treatment plan. If this is not possible, the vet may offer you some time to pay your bill. However, the treatment options will be restricted to emergency treatment and first aid. We have a list of FAQs around our pricing here for some clarity and context: https://www.vets-now.com/client-care/faqs/payment/ Kind regards, Kirsty

Caring and knowledgeable. Clean and good facilities. Just a shame price is increased if you arrive after 11pm (there are horrendous roadworks on the motorway).

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave a review, I'm so glad you feel we provided you with a good level of service. Caring is one of our core values so I'm pleased you felt we demonstrated this. In terms of the fees, it's true our fees can vary. We've put together an article that explains our fees in more detail, so hopefully you'll find this helpful: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/ Kind regards, Kirsty

I brought my dog George over on Friday evening following a sudden onset of what I thought was a stroke , the receptionist , a young lady with a bleached top knot and hopped ear lobes was very nice and caring , the vet however took one look at him and immediately offered to ‘ put him to slerp’ an offer she made 3 times in a 5 minute consultation , she also Dali he would get better in a week to 10 days , the following day he was much worse so we returned , this time it was p d s a vets and they were amazing , Emma the nurse , dan the vet and the subsequent vet and nurse were out of this world , they told me a completely different story , and although dan knew it was time he never actually said the dreaded words , they were amazing , even waiting for the best part of an hour waiting for my daughter to get there and day her good byes . She held him to the last and everyone on Saturday evening were amazing and I thank them so much for the kind way they treat us and more especially our beloved George

There is no respect for the illness/injury to my pet, except the cost and wanting a huge deposit even before any real assessments or treatment that may or may not be needed necessarily.

Service was great and I really appreciate that we can have such great vet cover 24 hours a day, I dont know how you can justify a bill of £180 for a bottle of ear drops that cost £14.50 however.

Vets now were amazing with our dog Douggie when he had been poisoned at the park, he got to see a vet straight away and they kept him in overnight to look after him. All the staff were lovely and informative and they put our minds at ease that he was being looked after. Thank you so much for looking after our pooch!

Our dog was in real pain and they quickly gave her pain killers to ease the situation. They kept her in over night and was well looked after and feeling much better in the morning

They were reassuring and knowledgable. I had to take my tri border collie, Dougie, in one night and we felt welcomed and even after we left regular phone calls were made to them and they would reassure me and help to make him comfortable. Prestwich branch

My GSD was sent to vets now after a botched surgical procedure in a near death state, I believe it it hadn't been for vets now, I would have lost her.
