U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

Avoid at all cost this so called Company will rip you off I cancelled my insurance then they said I need to pay the whole year off = I don't think so I've looked at over 100 reviews of the u drive and all say the same thing , all they want is your money they don't care in any way shape or form they will lie and manipulate you in any way to get the money absolutly disgraceful I hate this company

CAVEAT EMPTOR - BUYER BEWARE Wow ! How does this company manage to remain in business with so many negative reviews on- line. I guess it shows just how people don’t review a company prior to buying with them. I fell victim to them and I cancelled as soon as I reviewed this company which I did as something just didn’t feel right about the process of buying car insurance with them. They ‘call back to validate’ your details within 24/48 hours, where they then up your price ! When you cancel, bang £75 cancellation fee even prior to insurance starting. Needless to say for a 15 minute mistake it cost me £75 for the pleasure of removing them from my life and …from what I’ve read, I got off lightly If you haven’t already purchased a policy, read the reviews on line on Google review summary

Charlotte Howelle was extremely helpful in understanding my plight in sending photos etc. Why my policy should increase by over £300 because I might have removed an additional driver baffles me! The insurance market has never being kind to older drivers!

Rip off, took 150.00 off me to start the policy then told me I couldn’t use my NCD because I had put it on my own private van for 4 months. Even though I had built the NCD over 20 years on a car. My insurance doubled in price, but they had already taken 220 .00 off me then cancelled my insurance because I refused to pay

Spoke to a guy called Moe or Mo, tutted his teeth and then proceeded to shout “who you talking to” once i said let me speak to your manager he started talking like he’s some gangster, this is meant to be my “policy handler” goes to show how bad this company is. Call was on 27th of April around 13:03

Thieves. Put my details through a price comparison website. I was quoted £600 per year and paid my £100+ deposit. They then said I was insured and would just need to have a conversation to release the insurance documents. As soon as I paid they then bombarded me with calls, emails and text messages the same and next day threatening to cancel my policy if I didn't get back to them. I thought this was a bit odd. When I did speak to them the day after paying my deposit I verified my details and they then said the premium would be £1500. When I said no and that id go elsewhere I was put on hold. Miraculously 10 seconds later the 'agent' then said they could reduce the price by £250 per year. I again said no to which the reply was 'well it's £150 cancellation fee'. This company takes your deposit and then they hold you to ransom. They're a broker professing to be an insurer and are misleading customers. They shouldn't be allowed on these comparison sites and I'll be raising the issue with go compare. They run an absolutely disgusting business model looking to exploit customers. I can only imagine the vulnerable people who have fell for this scam and just paid up. It needs to be looked at by the financial ombudsman. I'll be seeking a full refund or will be escalating this accordingly. Stay clear. Absolute con and the staff should be ashamed of themselves

Terrible terrible service. Avoid if at all possible. An admin error occurred which i informed them about almost instantly when i went through the insurance proposal. Their solution. Pay £80ish to change a minor detail or pay £75 to leave. Trying to get through to customer services on a saturday also an issue. On hold for 45mins ish at a time only to be hung up on is just not good enough. Looking at their other feedback it appears to be a common trend. Needless to say, i can't recommend these, even slightly. Pay a little more and use a reliable company.

Do not use this company look at there ratings on Google before proceeding with them.very unprofessional.and don't call you back for days if you wish to hold the line waiting for a so called call handler yo will be waiting for about 80 minutes minimum just to be told someone will call you back to no avail

Cancelled my policy with this joke of a company was told I would be refunded within 30 days and on the 29th day was emailed saying it will take 7 more days there fast enough to take your money just don’t want to give it back just scammers if you ask me !!!

My vehicle was stolen 23/3/2023 I reported it to udrive the following morning as the office was closed when I noticed my vehicle stolen. I was told because I purchased an optional extra (vehicle replacement) when I took the policy out that I was entitled to a curtesy car. I was put through to another company to give all of my details only to be told after several phone calls later that I was not entitled to a courtesy car because I have driving convictions, I was later offered another service of a (payment in lieu) that nobody could explain what it meant. So basically I’ve paid for a service I’m not entitled to then they offer a service that they do not know what it means. After numerous phone calls and several days later I was told I wasn’t entitled to this service either due to my convictions, I declared all of these when they took my money for my policy so clearly aware of these. On the Tuesday I called my underwriters because this matter was being blamed on other companies then was told it was a matter to be raised with the underwriter, these where unaware of my vehicle being stolen udrive had not made any contact with them to inform them of the theft of my vehicle. I’ve been severely stressed and depressed over all of this, I was offered a courtesy car if I paid for it myself and I’d be reimbursed for this but I can not afford the £1200 to pay for it, after all of this I was told they had found me a car and the company was happy to hire me a car with my convictions to then be told they had changed their mind and wouldnt hire me one. I’ve been left today with an option of upto £250 reimbursement towards taxi fares, I am very unhappy with the customer service from this company. I will be seeking legal advice towards all of this as I feel like I’m the one being punished, chasing up all of these matters on a daily basis and informing the other parties as udrive are not cooperating with them properly I have been without a vehicle for almost 2 weeks and have been getting false promises on a daily basis Being told someone will contact me the same day and not getting follow up calls as promised
