Hi, George, I am keen to help however we can, but I am struggling to understand the reason behind the two-star feedback, and I think reaching back out to our sales team for further advice or explanation first would have been the better course of course. Firstly, you were pointed in the direction of the Wendland end caps because you have a Wendland roof, and neither of the two other end caps you mentioned would be suitable. To use them, you would have to remove the existing metal retaining plate which is extremely awkward and requires the removal of the bar top cap, which would break/snap and create much more significant issues, like leaks, than the cosmetic issue you currently have. Secondly, it is out of our control if a manufacturer discontinues a product. It seems strange to negatively review us for this – the same could be said for every other company in the world. We do everything we can to source spares and plastics and make conservatory repairs as simple as possible for DIYers and trade. My suggestion would be to paint the caramel starter end caps or just fit the white main end caps. You obviously saw that caramel was still available online and that we had plenty of white main end caps, and you have opted against both these options. If either of the above two options are suitable, I am more than happy to send the products to you free of charge. Please let me know, and feel free to call me on 0161 339 4982 should you wish.
