When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“I love travelling but preparing and planning a trip is not easy. I’ve checked and try very many travelling insurances and I’ve been disappointed many times. True Traveller website is really clear and well explained. It’s very easy to get in touch. I felt it was designed from people who had been in my situation before. They have been always available to answer my questions. I had to go to the doctor during my trip and the process of refunding was simple and fast. I’ve been covered by True Travel for the past year and I’ve just decided to renew one more year with them. I hope that I can continue being satisfied with their service.”

“I am really pleased with the True Traveller insurance! I have been using it for over a year bow for all my long- term travels and anytime i had to go to hospital, the getting money back was so super easy, quick and convenient. I’d definitely recommend this to all digital nomads, people on their gap tears and long-term travellers.”

“I'm fortunate enough to not have needed to claim with True Traveller quite yet, but the process of getting coverage has been so simple. The website is incredibly straight-forward and the pricing is great. I've been through a lot of competitors websites, as well as others for my partner based in the USA, and nothing compares. No complicated jargon to confuse you. As far as the user interface goes, you could easily consider them the Apple of the insurance world!”

“We booked our insurance quite close to our leaving date and there were no complications. The price was very competitive to others in the market. Thankfully we haven’t had to make a claim yet however we can imagine the help and service offered will be great. We did have to add on some extras to the standard policy and insure our phones privately as they are more expensive than the payout amount but this was the only minor issue.”

“I can highly recommend truetraveller insurance. I am a full time traveler and I have been traveling for more then 3 years now. It was always important to me to have a good travel insurance and after doing lots of research I found the perfect match”truetraveler insurance”. I had an accident in Thailand before and they refunded the hospital costs really fast and they were really helpful and supportive. When I extended my insurance they even offered a 10% discount if you use them again. I can’t recommend them enough. Many thanks Xenia Jakobi”

“Just took out a policy on line. We are already travelling so many companies wouldn’t insure us. Found True Traveller online and the fact we were already travelling was not an issue. Sensible approach , intuitive website, and great selection of options to suit individual circumstances.”

“True Traveller were super easy to use and navigate. I appreciated that all the legalese was still able to be understood, and their website and policy information was all very clear. There were also plenty of points where it was noted when taking out the policy that if I was uncertain about something, I could (and should) contact them. I look forward to travelling with the secure knowledge that I'm supported by an insurance that covers exactly what I will be doing.”

“I unfortunately started a policy with a different company that I then found out wasn’t valid. I was already travelling in Asia and had to find a new policy I could get while I was already travelling and fast. So glad I found True Traveller. Super flexible with lots of options and great communication. I haven’t had to claim so far so can’t comment on this aspect.”

“I can recommend True Traveller as it gives you the easiest way to insure your travels around the world. No matter if you are already travelling or about to, you can get yourself insured. The website design and all the options are clearly available and the chat response is super fast and helpful. I haven't had any accidents and therefore claims yet, but I think that if everything works as well as their website, there won't be any problems. This is the second time that I take my travel insurance through True Traveller and I am happy to tell, that I will take their insurance also in the future. This company gives you the best value for your money if you compare insurances between other companies.”
