True Traveller - Travel Insurance designed by Travellers

When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“True Traveller offers affordable insurance and lays out the details of its policies in a clear, concise way on its website. When I had to claim for an emergency medical issue during my time abroad in Canada, they were helpful and efficient when processing my claim. I would highly recommend True Traveller to any one who wants to travel and be covered, stress-free :)”

“I had ran out of insurance and wasn’t satisfied with any policies until I found True Traveller insurance. It was easy to pick and choose what you wanted included for what you paid. Quick and easy experience for an important and essential part of travelling. True email confirmation for everything and provide instructions in how to make a claim and extend the insurance if needed. Great communication, highly recommend.”

“I've been on extended travels for a few years now and True Traveller are one of the few providers who offer cover after your trip begins. Fortunately I haven't had to make a claim, but the application and renewal process is really easy, the cost is good and the add on options should provide enough flexibility for everyone.”

“I have used True Traveller many, many times especially for extended trips. I originally used them because they were one of the few companies that would cover a 2 year trip to Canada. I love that you can choose all the add ons such as winter sports and extreme sporting activities! I am often away without knowing when I will return so I really like the flexibility of extending my insurance for longer periods of time using the 10% discount when I do so! True Traveller have so many benefits that most companies don't offer. They are one of very few companies that allow you to start an insurance policy whilst already traveling. Something I've made use of many times. I have made 2 claims with True Traveller and both times it was very easy and hassle free and I was paid the full amount as I always opt to take the excess off by paying a very small amount when purchasing the policy. I will always be a loyal customer for True Traveller in the future. Even if I pay a bit more than other insurance companies because I am confident it's the best cover and I will always be treated well and fairly if I need to make a claim.”
