True Traveller - Travel Insurance designed by Travellers

When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“Very clear and easy to set up the policy. Showing clearly what is and isn't included as well as having many different options for whichever activities you need covered. Also covers a range od activities that most travel insurance companies avoid! Great, usable, friendly service. Thank you!!”

“would recommend. just booked with True Traveller for my up coming move to Canada. they have a pretty comprehensive policy, liked the wide range of add on's offered from adventure sports to extreme sports, very handy. Couldnt find any other insurance policy that matches or comes close. thanks John”

“The ONLY insurer I could find who'd cover me whilst abroad AND for pre existing medical condition...... things change when you're travelling and all of a sudden I found myself going to India unexpectedly for a month... but I was already out of the UK... absolutely no one would offer cover whilst travelling for a pre existing medical condition... Thank you to true traveller for offering this! You saved me!! Lol On top of this, thanks for employing happy human beings... how refreshing to have a real genuine interaction with your customer service staff not a robot regurgitating a script... a real person, with a sense of humour... the first time ever I've bought travel insurance and had a few laughs!! Hurray!! I'd definitely recommend... you guys are awesome! :)”

“It was so easy to select the cover I needed, and organise my insurance despite being overseas already. With True Traveller you don't need to list all the countries you're hoping to travel with, you can select worldwide. Also your insurance will cover you for a short period of time in the USA which is really helpful for flight stopovers. The website is very clear and the insurance is great value for money too.”

“Clear and upfront communication of the features of any insurance made. It's the second time I'm doing a True Traveller plan, feeling safe and secured by people who will care and provide effort and professionalism if I need to. The first time I used it a friend of mine that was travelling with me made two claims that were resolved quickly with no hassle or stress. 5 stars, in the world of today, is something of an understatement.”

“Very easy online purchase. Came to the rescue when I overlooked my annual policy expiring whilst away on a ski trip. Very easy purchase, nice clear web site. Let’s hope I don’t have to claim. Bizarrely the policy is underwritten by the same company with whom I had the annual policy and who wouldn’t renew once I’d started my trip.”

“I have not yet made a claim. I am currently insured with TrueTraveller, I had several questions before signing up and they have been very helpful in addressing them all before I comitted (I got insurance for 18 months!). I will update the review should I be making a claim (hopefully not!).”

“I had a great experience with True Traveller. They offer a variety of insurance options giving you a lot of freedom to choose a policy that aligns with your budget. The website is easy to use, making finding and applying for the right policy for you is really simple! The general pricing of true traveller is very competitive, but considering what is included in the policies and additional packages the pricing is exceptional. The customer service was also fantastic, after making an enquiry I was responded to in just over half an hour.”
