When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“I have True Traveller Backapcker's insurance already for a year. During that year I have used the insurance few times. Luckily there were minor things. As the amount I spent was always under 500 GBP, I have to pay first and then claim it back. There is just one thing i don't understand and its very unclear for me. The claim website allows you to claim for a taxi, in case if required to get to the doctor, however they did not cover the taxi expenses. I contacted them regarding that no one was able to give me the reason why. The answer was just NO, we don't cover the taxi expenses from your place to the clinic. In general this is a great insurance for a person ALREADY travelling ( you don't need to be in the UK/Europe to buy it). I recommend you to buy an option with no excess fee ( extra 30 GBP). I just renewed the insurance for another year.”

“What an amazing insurer! I've been traveling for over 3 years, two of which have been covered by TT. In my last month, I broke my collarbone and TT made it the easiest claims process in the world - all the payment was taken care of and I was able to rest, with the assurance that everything was dealt with. Super friendly team, brilliant cover and an excellent experience. They're so good I decided to extend my cover for another 6 months!”

“I heard a lot about True traveller when having to find a travel insurance for my trip to Canada. The application was easy to do, all information about my insurance cover was in FULL detail. No boring black and white information to read. I’ve also sent one of their sales representative an email just to clarify something I wanted for my application. Their representative was very informative, answered my question in full and was quickly responsive. Don’t we all love Great Customer Service ? I love the fact that I can ask a question, even the most complicated question and get the perfect response. Thank you True Traveller. Definitely referring you to my other colleagues :)”

“Almost the cheapest for the service and guarantees provided, including the inclusion, with a reasonable extra fee, of a health pre-existing condition I have. So, I'm really satisfied. I don't like the fact that claims must be done by phone only. I'd found more practical an online form, as other insurances do. Moreover, I guess that not English speakers would find hard to manage claims over the phone with English speaking operators.”

“I have just taken out my 5th year long policy in a row with True Traveller and wouldn’t be insured by anybody else. My claims have always been settled quickly and fairly and I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing my working holidays without them!”

“I used True Traveller recently to cover a trip to Everest Base Camp. I hoped to not have to make a claim but unfortunately I became unwell during the trip and also experienced problems with our return flights which resulted in having to make 2 separate claims. I thought it would be a hassle and that I would have to endure lengthy phone conversations in order to evidence my claim but the process couldn't have gone smoother. I was very happy with the service and experienced no problems during the whole submission of the claim. I would use True Traveller again and would highly recommend to others.”

“I really liked my experience with TrueTraveller. They came highly recommend from a friend and they didn’t disappoint. I am already overseas and travelling onto Canada (where insurance is mandatory to gain a IEC visa) and I shopped around a lot. TrueTraveller gave me the cover that I needed for my visa with lots of additional cover options. I was also able to purchase two years worth of insurance which not many companies can offer and they were super responsive and helpful for any questions I had. The form and application were so easy and I could add the sports that I enjoy to know I’ll be fully looked after during my next adventure!”

“Year long Multi-Trip policy taken out with True Traveler offers great value for money with 10 weeks of cover for not much more than a single trip policy. The policy was easy to set-up online with the options offered and when I called to confirm what option I required for a Trek to Nepal the call and my question were answered very quickly and helped with my selection of the option I required.
