True Traveller - Travel Insurance designed by Travellers

When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“Is the third time I use true traveller as a travel insurance...and once I had an emergency, I was in Thailand I went to the hospital and I had to do some exam for the total of 600 euro....when I claimed the money in 2 days the claim got accepted and the money in my bank account...definitely recommend it as an insurance...now that I know that they are reliable and when you need to claim they seems to be honest I also travel more confident and feel safer....”

“I cant thank Truetraveller@axa-assistance.cz enough for their help and support. I was diagnosed with acute appendicitis in Swakopmund, Namibia and was very ill, I was taken to hospital and at first the administration would not deal with foreign insurance companies so I called Truetraveller and they immediately called the hospital and within 2 hours I was in the ward waiting for a CT scan. I did receive many emails from TT asking about my care and if I was happy in the way I was being treated in the hospital which was reassuring indeed. I did have to pay upfront for a few medical procedures as again the hospital did not want to deal with foreign insurance companies which i paid to speed things up. I was in hospital for a total of 6 nights and when I was discharged I made my claim to get my money back from TT. The form was easy to use and upload bills and receipts and I was paid within 4 hours of submitting my claim which was a great relief. Thank you Truetraveller@axa-assistance.cz you really made a scary time a lot better, no complaints at all and have renewed my insurance with them again. Truetraveller hero's”

“True Traveller reimbursed my insurance claim for medical expenses while travelling. I found the company very attentive to my needs and very fast and efficient handling my claim. Once I submitted relevant documents and receipts and my claim was accepted payment was received on a few days. I will defiantly continue to use True Traveller in the future and highly recommend them.”

“Unfortunately I had to make a claim for a health problem that I suddenly had. The amount was less than 500 pounds so I paid the doctor and then made the claim. The claim is very easy to make and true traveler is very fast in the process. they accepted my claim and the next day I already had the money in the bank. excellent experience, recommended insurance.”
