When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“My experience with has been very good. I've not needed their assistance in terms of activating the insure, but i've dealt with them through the phone when I was deciding if I wanted to opt for their services or other company's insurance. The truth is, the way they dealt with me and answered all my doubts and questions was the deciding factor I eventually ended up buying their insurance. Not only the website layout, functions and how things are easily explained is very newb-friendly and easy to navigate, the guy that I talked to was super nice, patient and had a very good accent making it easy for me to undestand all he said. All in all - an excelent choice, great value for the money.”

“So I can only rate it from the experience of buying the insurance since I haven't made a claim and hopefully won't need to.Very friendly and helpful staff when I called up and asked about the insurance and different options...I really appretiate the flexibility, that you can buy it when you're already travelling... and if you're travelling one way etc etc...that it meets different needs...and not just the mainstream traveller...and it was the cheapest one around wich is a big plus of course...”

“It's the 3rd year in a row I buy the True Traveller insurance. I first heard about it from a friend who got some things stolen during her trip and was very satisfied with the assistance and coverage received from True Traveller. I personally never had to make a claim, but I'm happy with the service and the transparency they offer.”

“Because I was leaving the uk for a weeks skiing and not returning to the uk afterwards , and also not being a uk resident, it was very difficult to find insurance. True traveller was very easy to book on line.”

“Travel insurance was easy to book online. One of the only few companies that allow booking of travel insurance when already abroad. Very helpful and provides peace of mind. Lots of customisable options so you only pay for what you need. Unfortunately the policies are quite expensive when you have pre-existing medical conditions. Wish there were more affordable options for this. I can’t comment on the claims process.”

“I am a long term traveller and no matter where in the world I am, I always use true traveller health insurance for there reasons: - I regularly travel with a one way ticket and TT covers you for this - I'm a little disorganised so someone's I don't remember to book insurance until I'm already travelling and TT covers you for this too - very simple to work out the a dditions or add ons and what's covered - my sister got really sick with e. Coli when we where in Thailand and TT covered all expenses including the stay she needed in hospital, medications, and the doctors and nurses with no problems - support easy to use website”
