When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“A health insurance while traveling is the most important thing and please don't miss it. I met a lot of people which were traveling without any insurance and they suddenly got sick or had an accident and had to pay huge amounts out of their pocket. So please, think about that! I compared many insurance companies which are able to insure people while their traveling and landed on the web page of True Traveller. This company offers a basic insurance with different Addon packages which you can choose to get more coverage on specific activities. This makes your policy geared to your needs and you are not paying for things which you don't need. The booking process is very easy and you get your policy in between of a couple of minutes.”

“Competitive price and previous conditions included, unlike a lot of other insurers I tried. Also covers me for trekking in Peru when lots of other insurers don’t cover above 2000m. Easy to get a quote and understand policy, process and any exclusions etc. Would recommend!”

“Overall positive experience. Used to be easier to submit a claim, everything could be uploaded online, now you need to print, sign and scan a paper which is not super convenient, but otherwise I've been happy with TT. Payment was fast and the whole process smooth.”

“Great cover if your looking to do some more risky activities. I use them for my climbing trips and seems a fairly reasonable price for amount of excess charges and situations they cover in the small print. Yet to have to claim, but feel trusting that I wouldn't have much any hastle if I did.”

“I've had True Traveller insurance for the past three years with single-trip year long policies. Their pricing is fair and the packages are easy to understand. I add on packages for riding motorbikes, scuba diving, sailing and other activities. I've never had to make a claim (and I'd like to keep it that way) - but I've read many reviews about TrueTraveller being great in times of emergency, which is why I keep renewing. It's peace of mind for serious medical issues. I have spoken with their support team on a few occasions to ensure my policy works for my needs & they have always been very educated and helpful. The only thing I'd say is - if you're using TT as a full-time traveller, don't bother with the add-ons for travel delays etc. They're pretty much useless if you're doing continuous travel. I think the same applies to most travel insurance these days - if you're delayed, you usually have to take it up with the airline and hope for the best.”

“I got insurance through True Traveller for my Canadian IEC. I had heard many positive reviews about True Traveller and I found the interface of their website very easy to understand and navigate. The whole procedure was straight-forward and was completed in a very short amount of time! In the end, the insurance for two individuals turned out to be very well priced and I would recommend this company to everybody who is travelling.”

“Userfriendly website and after all they always had the best value for money. I've claimed just ones yet and only oroblem so far is that you have to call them and number is British so not so convenient and little bit pricy when you are travelling.”
