“Good quality travertine delivered quickly and most importantly packaged well. A few corner dings are expected with such a fragile material but I didn't have a single broken tile which is pretty good going. Arrived fast and was great price so a winner all round.”

“Bought honed and filled travertine mosaic tiles which seem to have disappeared from all major homeware stores (smoother than the tumbled version) and I wanted to match others in another room. Pleasant and helpful phone support. Also contacted by delivery company with option of two delivery dates and all went well. Very expensive delivery charge but this was the only way of getting the tiles I wanted.”

“Having never ordered tiles online before I was a little dubious however Travertine store was extremely straight forward with excellent support available over the phone if needed. The tiles turned up as described with a call on the day of delivery providing a 2 hour window. A hassle free, efficient service at an unbeatable price. Would recommend and use again for sure.”

“Travertine Store was probably the only outlet to stock the specific size and type of travertine tiles I needed to replace a few cracked floor tiles. The cost of the tiles, square metre was reasonable, however the cost of delivery for a dozen tiles was expensive and nearly doubled my overall cost. I’m not sure why it cost almost £70 as I’ve had larger, heavier and more bulky items delivered for a fraction of these delivery charges. I had no choice so I bit the bullet and accepted the charge. The delivery was then a bit farcical. An early morning email from the courier informed me delivery would be between 11.30am and 1.30pm. By 3pm I contacted the couriers helpline and was told they would be there within 20 minutes but arrived 60 minutes after the that. That, plus the cost of delivery meant I couldn’t give any more than 3 stars.”

Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. Our prices are very reasonable as you have kindly mentioned in your review. We use 3rd party transport networks and these are the charges that we need to pass on to our customers. The deliveries you mention (larger - heavier - more bulky items) are most likely done by the merchant themselves (builder merchants for example) where they deliver a good amount of building materials by their own transport network whereas in your case the order was only for 2 m2. Discounting delivery charges for small amounts do not make any commercial sense. We hope you understand.

“I wanted something interesting and old looking for my inglenook fireplace - without having to spend a fortune on Yorkstone paving that would be too heavy for me to lift into place. To help in making my choice I had a couple of free samples from Travertine store which made me think that Travertine wasn't the best choice. Then I saw the tumbled VAUX limestone which looked perfect for the job. To make life easy I bought the stone, the glue, the grout and the sealant from Travertine store and am very pleased with the finished result.”

“Rather bizarre, I ordered samples of 10x10 ivory travertine, received them, then a day later was informed that I couldn’t buy any as there were none in stock and no plans for there to be any in the future.”

Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. We always send 10x10cm samples for all sizes. 10x10cm size sample does not mean that we keep (or will keep) that size in stock all the time. And a stock may not continue due to a variety of circumstances. In this case yes the stock has already been discontinued by the time you received the sample and decided to order, however we have a very similar product in stock (subject to availability - https://www.travertinetilesuk.com/product/9/classic-travertine-tumbled-unfilled). “I ordered sample tile before ordering more tiles. Customer service was very helpful What lets the side down is the courier. Got updates of the tiles being despatched and that we would be contacted beforehand to arrange delivery. Driver just turned up with the tiles, just as well we were in”
