“Mariana demonstrated a lot of patience despite my many queries and requests for changes in putting together what looks like a fantastic trip to Costa Rica. She was very good at advising us of alternative options and was quick to respond back to us . Also kept us up to date in the booking process. We simply felt a trust was quickly established and we were working with people who really knew the country and what it could offer us rather than a UK travel company who was simply passing on am itinerary put together in Costa Rica.. Cutting out the middle man cannot be a bad thing when it comes to cost and local expertise.”

“At this time we have not started our travel but we have concluded what we want to do and entered into an agreement by down payment. The support we received so far, in tailoring to our special needs and requirements, has been very good. The local travel agent gives an impression to know her country and the business and to take pride in finding and arranging the best trip for us. We believe the price to be competitive.”

“We met Huw Owen, Joint Managing Director, and his team at Travel Local office in Bristol. He is a real travel enthusiast including Central Asia; he'd been there several times, knew the history and is extremely knowledgeable. We like the way Travel Local operate and through their platform we were able to arrange a personal itinerary with a specialist company in Uzbekistan. Communication was quick, we were given expert advice and our 3-week visit was amazing. Travel Locals partners in Tashkent were first class, everything went perfectly. Travel Local were very competitive when it came to pricing. What clinched it for us was being able to communicate quickly with agents in Uzbekistan and knowing that we were fully covered by ABTA. We would certainly recommend Travel Local and would arrange a similar holiday with them again.”

“Fast response to emails when sorting itinerary. Started as a party of 2 then 2 friends decided to join us and requirements changed. Umesh patiently requoted and we got to a tour that all 4 of us were happy with. Haven't travelled yet but so far very pleased .”

“Really impressed with the way my Travellocal advisor helped me plan my holiday to Costa Rica. We havn't been yet, but assuming all goes to plan, it should be the holiday of a lifetime. Wouter put up with a constant flow of questions from me - and changes to the itinerary - until I was happy we'd got the right mix of adventure, relaxation and sightseeing. I was planning to organise the entire trip on my own, but when I realised how much we wanted to do in Costa Rica I thought using someone with local knowledge would really help - and it did. And best of all, I've done a rough comparison with a tour operator specialising in CR holidays, and our trip has come out a lot cheaper. So assuming all goes well with our trip, which I feel confident it will, I couldn't recommend Travellocal highly enough. Thanks Wouter!”

“So far so good. The local agent we used "Story of India" and especially Nutan the lady we dealt with for our up and coming trip to India was very professional quickly understood our requirements extremely prompt in getting back to us and appears to have put together a fabulous itinerary at a fair price, and I sure the trip will live up to all our expectations.”

“So far we are only at the booking stage for a holiday to Uzbekistan. Booking has been easy and we have been given prompt and helpful advice on the phone and internet. The agent in Uzbekistan - Olga - has been very good. We like the system of communication on the internet. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating i.e. when we have had the holiday in October. More anon!”

“To be honest we have booked but not yet taken our month long tailored trip to India. We shall give a further revue after we get back and promise it will be honest. However so far we are very impressed with all the service we have had in planning our visit both from travellocal and the local trip organisers. Booking is a bit techy for us 70 year olds but in fact it turned out to be very easy and personal. Our views were understood and acted on with responses at times overnight. The proof as they say... but we are optimistic.”

“Wonderful personal chats to Kyaw in Myanmar as we discussed and tailored options. Kyaw even knew which homestays were likely to have the cleanest sheets! Have not done the trip yet but feel sure it will go well as this man was so knowledgeable, quick to reply and particular about details.”

“We had a brilliant four week holiday in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. I contacted TravelLocal when our original holiday company went bust, very close to our travel date. We were immediately put in touch with Wouter at Ecole Travel and ended up with a vastly improved itinerary and more interesting hotels - plus saved some money on the original cost. Could not have been more impressed with the service, and have recommended TravelLocal to friends. We are using them again this autumn to go to Iran. Was initially a little concerned about this new concept of booking holidays but it's working really well for us. Great being able to chat to experts in the countries involved rather than following the vision of someone at this end, who may only have visited there during a university gap year and is limited to dealing with specific hotels. Plus we had Huw from TravelLocal following our email conversations and giving us his input if he felt it necessary. The ABTA protection was important. All in all, very impressive.”
