Train Aid Emergency First Aid course was interesting, informative as well as fun. A lot was packed into the day but activities were varied and the coach kept us well motivated.

I am still waiting for my certification to come through. I felt let down as the joining notes for the course in Birmingham stated that a laptop was not really needed but In reality is essential as a lot of the prep for the microteach presentation is computer based and the microteach itself uses powerpoint.

Very disappointing course on L3 Award in E&T. The trainer, Richard, was probably the worst I have ever experienced and despite him repeatedly telling us he was a great trainer he was not and was no kind of role model except for how not to train and deliver: he talked about himself repeatedly, including about a 10 minute description of his back problem, medical diagnosis and operation - even though I asked him if we could move off that subject; his examples were always about teaching children whereas every one of us on the course were training adults so the examples were not at all relevant; he kept referring to courses he delivers on H&S and security and these were obviously where his passion lies not E&T; there was virtually no signposting as to what content we were doing referred to which LO and AC so trying to write the assignments was difficult because I was not sure where the relevant content was.

I would like to express my complete satisfaction with the course and a massive plus for me was Phil Gallie the instructor, who was very friendly and got the training across in a very clear and concise manner. Superb all round.

I have been on many paediatric first aid courses, having to refresh every 3 years and this one was the best one by far. It was so enjoyable and informative and delivered with such enthusiasm, I feel I learnt so much and it made me feel really confident in my knowledge. Thank you Danielle.

The course was well organised and held at an accesible location. The instructor, Martyn, was very professional and I got a lot of confidence in applying what he taught us.

The trainer Martyn Smith was excellent, the location was very good and the room suitable but there could have been a sign on the entrance to the Crypt in St. Mary's Church to say that this was where the training was being held ... a church isn't the normal place so I walked round a bit first! The only other thing that I would mention is that the timings weren't as advertised we left earlier some days and started earlier some days which was good but it would have been good to know in advance so I could have planned accordingly. Also the snacks were very unhealthy - biscuits! Would have been nice to have some healthier options e.g. fruit and nuts but there was a gluten free option which was good for those needing it.

Overall very good. Provided with easy to follow guidance throughout the distance learning programme, supported by PowerPoint and Videos, in addition to which help was always on hand if required. I was pleased to be able to complete the various modules at my own pace which sat well with my work commitments. My micro teach was delivered at Eccles, was very straight forward and assessed by peers. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Train Aid to anyone undertaking an educational qualification.
