“The beams themselves are beautiful. Fitting is easy. However i bought 4 beams 1 came with a saw mark at 2 ft, obviously was almost cut at the wrong size. When I contacted them they said it was done on all beams to give the rustic look. However this is false i have 4 beams only 1 has the saw mark. I do like me beams. Wouldn’t be ordering any more though due to this”

Hi Gemma, sorry to hear you were not entirely happy with your purchase from us. The shelves that you are ordered are made to look more rustic and we do tend to leave circular saw marks in to add to the rustic effect as specified on the description on the website and it is also shown on the photos. Perhaps our oak range may have been better suited to your taste.

“Quality and delivery is very good. I was however a little disappointed in the colour as it was a lot darker than I thought it would be. I ordered a natural oak but it was very dark.”

I have checked your order and you ordered the colour Medium Oak not natural Oak. If you are unhappy with the colour you have ordered we do have a returns period of 30 days where we can exchange your order for the colour light if you prefer or issue a refund.

“We absolutely ADORE our new floating shelves in rustic light oak. They bring the cottage vibes into a modern room. We routed out a channel and popped in some strip lights to really make them a focal point. Love love love.”

“I am absolutely over the moon with my rustic fireplace beam. I have replaced the original beam in my cottage which was built around 1660 and it's a perfect match to the other beams. Great service and the quality of the beam is superb. Couldn't be happier. Thanks guys”

“I am absolutely thrilled with the sink shelf I ordered in White Oak , it's better than I expected , it arrived quickly and Traditional Beams kept in constant contact once I'd placed the order , It arrived today and I was bowled over on how gorgeous it is. Even the delivery guy was really helpful which is unusual these days .”

“Nice floating shelves. Just what we wanted above the kitchen worktops. But installation not easy for 2 reasons. 1. You have to mark (with pencil) the centre of bracket on wall but there is no way to do that as the bracket obscured the centre. 2. Brackets aren’t square so if you fit them upside down your shelf will slope. They don’t mention that. Better instructions would be a big help.”

Hi Graham, thanks for your feedback, we are pleased to hear you are happy with your Shelves for your kitchen, sorry to hear you did not find the installation process easy, we do email easy to follow installation instructions and the T Brackets supplied are ready versatile and a very clever design - when you tighten the shelf support it should level it as the rod is forced against the back plate the front part of the plate should lift. This will get the rods level :)

“This is the second beam I have bought and on both occasions I changed my mind on the length I wanted. One phone call is all it took to change the order . The beams are beautiful and delivery was as they said. I wouldn't even look elsewhere after dealing with traditional beams. Customer service is outstanding as is the quality of their beams”

“Traditional Beams keep you informed on the status of your order; from your beam being made to it being shipped out on delivery. The beam fitted easily to the wall as the photo hopefully shows. A lovely finish. No queries to be resolved”
