“I ordered a beam for above my fireplace. I was not sure about the finish I wanted so I ordered a planed oak beam. The planed oak beam does not come with fixings or pre drilled holes. Not a problem for us as my OH is very handy. We couldn’t find suitable fixings, so I contacted traditional beams and they speedily sent what was needed for the job. I am very pleased with the beam and the service. I”

“Ordered one oak floating shelves. Things that can be improve, the wood itself needs further sanding, it was rough and can visually see it that is rough. The major issue I had with the product was the fixing, where one of the pole was drilled off centred making the shelf level to be a pain.”

Hello, I have checked your order and you ordered the rustic pine flating shelf - not oak. The pine shelf is supposed to be rustic as specified in the description on the website. With regards to the fixings, please see step number 7 on the instaltion instrucitons you received: The screw part of the bracket is positioned slightly off centre to the main body of the bracket allowing you to make minor adjustments for levelling. Place a spirit level on the beam/ shelf and use a 10mm spanner to make any minor adjustments to level the beam.

“Was not happy with the quality of the shelf and company suggested replacing. They agreed to refund but there were issues with collection (courier did not come on day), which was sorted. The company were extremely helpful on the phone pre and post purchase.”

Hello, sorry to hear you had some issues with your order. I have had a look into this and it appears your order was damaged in transit, unfortunatley once the orders leave our workshop it is out of our hands and on rare occasions damage can occur. I am glad you found our company helpful and we managed to rectify this for you.
