“Quick delivery , well packaged , lovely piece of wood that arrived exactly as described, there has been some slight widening of the existing cracks but this has only enhanced the look of the beam , Very Happy”

“I recently approached this company after finding the details online, I spoke with Freddie who was incredibly helpful and clearly very knowledgeable on the advice given, I gave Freddie a verbal description of exactly what I wanted over the phone, from the outset I knew he was on the same page with my idea's! From the verbal description alone he processed our order, to my surprise only 8 days later out oak beam arrived exactly how how envisaged, I couldn't be happier, the price was very reasonable and free delivery! I have already been back in touch to plan our next project, I wouldn't use anyone else Alison from Kent”

“Great price for the mantlepiece. The fixings are a little questionable, though. It doesn't feel very secure, despite following the instructions to the letter and is angled down slightly with the weight of the beam at the front. I think I am going to have to put some No More Nails behind the beam to hold it flat against the wall. Also, it would be nice for the company to keep you informed as to the status of the order as well. I found myself having to ask what was happening after just over a week of no contact. I was then told it was ready for delivery, but I was beginning to wonder. However, the beam seems good quality, and the "light" finish gives it a smooth finish for which dust and liquids should be wiped off quickly and easily. I would use again, but might look closer at the fitment next time.”

Thank-you for taking the time to write a review. We will certainly take your feedback on board with regards to the communication issue. With regards to the concealed brackets supplied with the beams, unfortunately they seem to be the best option available to us at the moment. If you think you would benefit from another set sent out please get in touch. I agree that some grab adhesive such as no more nails or similar would help solve this problem.

“Ordered this online without actually seeing the beam so I was kind of living in hope. However when I opened the parcel the beam was immediately transferred to my face, i was well pleased.”

“I would have given 5 stars, but when the product arrived wax had been pulled out of the grain due to the method used to polish the shelf. This wasn't a major issue as they sent me out a small tin of matching colour so I could fill the grain. However a bit more attention to detail before item despatch goes a long way.”

“The service was excellent from enquiry through to receiving the beam. It was simple and the beam itself looks fantastic. I am really glad I purchase my beam from Traditional Beams as the quality from some I have seen on eBay are not of the same standard. Thanks very much”

“The great thing about this company is how helpful they are at producing exactly what your after. My on initial phone call the guy I spoke to was very helpful although he said they would struggle to get the job done for the following week so suggested I went to see their workshop and have a look at some of their finished pieces. I went to the workshop at the end of that week to look at the pieces they had already created. I couldn't find what I was looking for but the owner was more than happy to help. He found the perfect piece of wood which had all the character marks of knots and cracks in the beam and then aged it whilst I waited by softening the edges to give that natural look and also stained it for us. You could watch this process in the workshop. The whole process only took around 20 mins by these talented craft people and just goes to show that they really know what there doing. Great people, great service, great prices. Highly recommended”
