“Top Shelf is the best. Worked with Greg for some lighting on my new aquarium and he made sure I was ordering the right light with the right mounting kit. I am in Omaha, NE and Greg made me feel like I was right down the street. Top notch!”
“I purchasd 3 coral frags from TSA. I liked that I could pick the delivery date. The shipment came on date expected. The weather here was very cold in January, and i was concerned the coral might not survive when I opened the box/cooler and saw the contents cooler than ideal. I emailed TSA and was suprised to get an almost immediate response. The coral ended up temp acclimating well and came through fine. I was impressed with the automated and manual responses I got though. Good looking coral! just as expected.”
“The coral arrived appearing very stressed. Put it into my pre-tank as put all others I receive from various online groups. It never got better and eventually dies within 5 days. Never had an issue before with other online services. Very unhappy with the experience.”
“TSA always provides me with Top quality corals, that are well maintained, in great health and virtually pest free. Communication is always great if there are delays due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. Weather) 10/10 My favorite place to snag new corals!!”
“I received a dead shrimp but in order of getting another livestock i have to pay another shipping fee, who does that? I mean it was not my fault to receive a dead shrimp”
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how frustrating it is to receive a livestock item that arrives DOA, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to clarify our process.
Our shipping and Alive Arrival (DOA) policies are clearly posted on our website so customers can review them before placing an order. In the event that livestock arrives dead on arrival, our policy is to issue a credit for the cost of the livestock itself, which we did in this case for the shrimp. However, shipping costs are not covered or refunded unless the customer chooses to add our optional Reef Guard protection at checkout, which is specifically designed to cover situations like this
The credit issued to your account can be used toward a future order, but the shipping cost for a replacement shipment would still apply without Reef Guard. We make every effort to clearly communicate these policies upfront so customers can make an informed decision when ordering live animals.
We value your business and appreciate your understanding. If you ever have questions about coverage options or policies prior to ordering, our team is always happy to help.
“Wasnt going to even bother contacting you but since you sent this questionair i thought id give a reveiw. When i got this order none of the snails were moving. I still went ahaed and aclimated them but all but one were dead. I know some times this happens in shipping if it gets to cold. ANy way the nudibranch is alive i guess but im not lieing this thing was so small i thought you just sent a bottle of salt water to me. This is the first time i tried one of these so i cant compare my experiance with anything else. I had to get my 15 year old son to help me and eventuly we did find it. It was way smaller then a peice of rice. But it was there and alive. I dont even know how you introduce something so small. to a thriving tank. All i did is shut off all my pumps and lights and did my best to get it to some live rock. Its so small i have no idea where its and and have no dout something ate it by now. Sure dont expect it to eat aptasia with it being so small. I just wasnt prepared for that. SO thats was my experiance. Thanks Dave”
Hi Dave,
Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate the honest feedback.
Regarding the Berghia nudibranch, we do want to clarify that their size is clearly stated and shown on our website prior to purchase. We include detailed product descriptions as well as reference photos, including an image of a Berghia next to a standard U.S. dime, so customers can accurately gauge just how small they are before ordering. Our goal is always to be as transparent as possible so customers can make informed decisions about livestock that best fits their expectations and system.
Berghia are naturally very small, the size can be surprising without prior hands-on exposure.
Regarding the snails, we do not see that a DOA (Dead on Arrival) claim was submitted for them. We do have a very strong DOA policy in place that covers livestock losses during shipping, however customers do need to submit a DOA request along with clear photos within the required timeframe so our team can review the issue and assist. Unfortunately, if we are not notified and a DOA claim is not submitted, we are unable to help with those losses after the fact.
We are always happy to help before an order is placed. If there is ever a question about size, care, or suitability of any livestock, customers are welcome to call or email us and we will gladly walk through those details ahead of time.
We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to hear your feedback, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions or need assistance in the future.
“This is the first time I buy corals from your store so I don't know what to say, but I always follow you on your YouTube channel, or on your social profiles and I am always very fascinated by your videos and your corals, or your fish you well know I live in Delaware but if I happen to come to Florida I will gladly visit you also to see your beautiful store in person, and I think it will be a beautiful experience. but I think there will be no problem because I have never seen any group of people As professional like you guys I'm sorry for my English but I'm Italian or done my best, greetings to everyone by 🪸🐠”
“My corals arrived well packed. One of the corals seemed very small and mounted poorly. For the price it seemed very small about 1cm. I had to remount and handle the coral more than I think I should have. The polyps have yet to come out. I have purchased locally in the past with better success. Probably best to see what you’re buying first.”
“They are very professional and caring. I ordered a male and female blue throat triggerfish. They called to let me know they did not want to send the female, because she was not eating and gave me multiple options. The animals are what's important and this is proof TSA agrees. I later did get a female triggerfish from TSA to go with the male and they are beautiful juveniles. They are slowly becoming a couple, which is very cool with blue throats. Thank you!! John”
“Great customer service but the coral shipment was what impressed me, they arrived alive & well & even opened the very same day I received them, great store.”
“im mostly impressed with the competitive prices and the free overnight shipping was the big winner for me im down to spend a small fortune on things but having to pay extra and wait 3 weeks for things to be delivered from other large establishments is unacceptable. from here out ill be looking to top shelf aquatics first to see if they have what i need!”
