“Mark, Justin and Norman from Timberwise, Sherborne, carried out some detailed and difficult work to cure damp in our old, listed, property. They were careful, helpful, and co-operative at all times and did everything possible to avoid any mess and inconvenience. Highly recommended.”

“I contacted Timberwise in relation to a damp / mould issue. I found the office staff to be polite and they informed me my local surveyor would contact me. That day Matthew Hargrove contacted me to discuss my concerns and confirm the appointment. Matthew turned up to the appointment on time and was very helpful. We determined that no works were required and i found this to be very refreshing seeing as though companies are all about selling. I would not hesitate to recommend Matthew or Timberwise as their approach was nothing but professional.”

“I am the Parish Administrator of a Church in Putney and we have used Timberwise on 3 occasions to help with dry rot. “What good service. Spoke to Lesley Hornby on Monday afternoon. She was able to make an appointment for a survey so paid over the phone. The receipt was in the post on Tuesday. Lesley telephoned that afternoon to say they had a cancellation and would be doing the survey on Wednesday. That's what I call being efficient,”

“Ian from Timberwise came to survey our property this morning, to find that we had wet rot not dry rot as we had thought. He was prepared to spend time with us explaining what we need to do to irradicate the rot and what steps we needed to take to stop the water coming in. This had been a long standing problem which had baffled me for years. So I really appreciated his expertise given freely to no direct advantage to Timberwise.”

“I recently had a survey/quotation from Timberwise, on a property I am in the process of purchasing. The survey was conducted by Danny Verdon. Danny’s customer service was fantastic. After ringing to organise a survey Danny promptly organised a date and time convenient for myself - communication in the build up to the survey was great. On the day on the survey Danny had a fantastic knowledge and was extremely helpful. The current owner of the property was present at the time of the survey and Danny’s professionalism was appreciated. The cost effective quotation for the work was turnaround in good time and Danny was immediately back in touch to answer the questions I had! Very impressed. Overall I would strongly recommend Timberwise (Danny) to anyone with damp issues that need sorting. Thanks Timberwise”

“I had to use my guarantee after 3 years and Tom the manager was very helpful.He came to review the situation and right away put measures in place to rectify the problem and made some helpful suggestions thanks Timberwise. .”

Thanks for leaving a review David. Our long term guarantees are there to give you peace of mind should a situation arise where it needs to be called on.

“We bought a house with Timberwise guarantees in place and last winter had water running down our end wall - that had a Timberwise damp course in place. This was after a long period of heavy rain where the end wall had a mini river running past it and so was sat constantly in water. We tried to claim and were told we needed to pay to transfer the guarantees to get somebody round, so £120 later and we see their surveyor. He says nothing to do with them, the water is running down the chimney. We argue that all water is coming out at 1m height - the height that rising damp occurs. He refused to accept liability and told us to get the chimney repaired. We have now just come through 2 months with heavy rain in, not heavy enough to form the river outside, and the chimney has stayed dry. Your Damp course has without doubt failed, you should man up, accept responsibility, and get this sorted.”

I would definitely recommend the sevice Timberwise offers as it could save individuals from wasting monies on damp proofing, when in fact there is other reasons for the issues and problems. “Used timberwise No problem with the work they carried out However, when I asked to obtain a duplicate copy of invoice & report I was charged £55 + VAT This is for essentially forwarding an email & printing & posting a letter I will not be using their services again I will also now stop recommending them (In the last 12 months I’ve passed their number onto clients several times)”

“Matthew Hargrove paid a visit to my retirement development as an owner had concerns about dampness and condensation in his apartment. Matthew was brilliant! he tested & checked the walls and fully explained what his findings were regarding the amount of condensation found. He then sent a report with his findings and solutions to the owner the same day! seems to be very sensible advice, i learnt a lot at the same time. thank you Matt”
