“Doing the tiling course was one of the most positive experiences I have ever done. Not only does it give you the practical skills and the theory behind what you are doing, but you get the business sense to become a success in your new career. It is a very intense and satisfying course, not only does darren teach you to become a professional tiler but more importantly he sets out troubleshooting tasks for when you are on your own out in the field. But both darren and tracy make it clear that they are always on hand for advice. I left the course just over a week ago and I have contracts with local hotels, restaurants and no end of peoples houses. At the minute it is a tilers world.”

“The course Darren and Tracey run is absolutely superb. I can't recommend it highly enough. I was a complete novice and a very nervous pupil as I had very little confidence in my ability to learn the skills of wall and floor tiling. But the evidence of my work is on their Facebook page - I would never have thought I could produce such excellent results as I did in just the first week, and I replicated that excellent standard in my second week on the course. Darren is exceptionally knowledgeable in the art of tiling, and he drives you on to learn as much about the skills of the trade as he possibly can in such a short space of time. That's why it's called 'Pro Tiling' - he teaches you to a professional standard, so you'll be armed with knowledge on how to tackle the more complicated jobs that you wouldn't receive on a more basic course. That means of course that it's a highly intensive course and you'll be required to take on a lot of information in a very short space of time. I don't mind admitting that I found it daunting at times, especially as I was the most novice of the pupils in my first week on the course. For example, there was a moment in week one, when Darren gathered us all around to show us how to prepare tile cuts for a diamond pattern on the wall. I remember thinking: "This is too much for me, I'll never take this in - let alone do it anywhere as quickly and as well as the other (more confident) pupils." But I did! And I did it really well! The great thing is that, while Darren pushes you very hard, he is also very understanding and supportive too. He understands that not everyone will learn at the same pace, or have the same levels of confidence. I doubted myself but under Darren's expert tutelage I was able to produce a standard of work I would never have dreamed possible at the start of the course. Now I've got home I'm looking at tiling jobs and thinking, I could do that! And it's not tiling skills you're taught. Darren goes through all the best ways to market and sell yourself to potential customers - and you're taught all about the differences in tiles, adhesives and surfaces, which you can use to sell your services to customers too. Literally no stone (or tile) is left unturned. Of course, a word for Tracey too. She's such a lovely lady and is also very supportive and, like Darren, wants you to achieve and be as successful as possible. Her chats with me when I was finding things a little daunting were very much appreciated! In fact, it's one of the great things about the course - both Darren and Tracey really care about the people on it. You can see it matters to them that we come out of the training much the better for the experience. Darren makes himself available to you after you've left, for instance. If there's anything you're unsure of after you've left then he's only a phone call or email away. He doesn't need to do that but he wants to, because he wants to help. I think that's pretty special. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how to tile. Don't be put off by the extra distance if you're not close, don't take another course just because it's nearer to you. I live on the south coast and I'm glad I took the decision to travel up to the north east. I know I made the right decision!”

“Viv I have just completed the three week advanced course and loved every minute, If you want to be a tiler then look no further and book this course, you are taught all the practical aspects of tiling, including set up, tile types, and adhesives to name just a bit of what is covered, you also receive extensive knowledge and experience from Darren who teaches you the most important part which is marketing and running a business as a tiler, you will not get this from any other course in the UK, do not let distance stand in your way make the best most sensible business decision of your life and book your place, people I was on the course with had work booked in and vans bought before they had even finished the course, covering the course fees within a week, Calling all ladies you will love it just go for it. “Just a quick update for you, today I handed my notice in at work, I had to as I have 4 jobs booked in and was struggling to make time for them whilst still working. I've had to turn a couple of jobs down due to this. Those 4 jobs, which i estimate will take no more than a week and a half in total, will earn me just over what I earn in a month in my current job. My adverts haven't even gone in the local magazine yet and I haven't had time to go around the kitchen/conservatory retailers yet. I quoted for a kitchen splash back, client accepted and also asked for my card as he works for a shop fitters and they are always looking for a tiler so fingers crossed. The fear has kicked in but in a good way, makes me more motivated to win work. Anyway I just want to thank you again for your advice, training and help.”

“Awesome course. I was amazed at how much I was able to learn and do within the 9 days course period I attended having never laid a single tile before. This is all thanks to Darren's excellent teaching methods. And I must also commend his lovely wife Tracey who was so loving and welcoming from the moment we called to enquire on the course. I really felt at home there. Time flew so fast throughout the course. Hartlepool is one of the very few places I have visited and was gutted my stay ended so soon thanks to Darren, Tracey and Brandon. “Having looked at a lot of courses, I was really glad I choose this one. Having been on a lot of courses in a previous existence I found that they dragged everything out to take as much money from you as possible, not so in this case!!! Darren’s ethos is get you in train you quickly, intensely and get you earning! Just what you want. 30 plus years in the tiling business and Business delivered in an enthusiastic manner. “I completed a three week tiling course at UK Pro Tiling Training. My first point of contact was Tracey by telephone. I found her extremely polite, courteous and very knowledgably, answering all my questions about the course. On completion of the 13 day tiling course I was extremely glad I had researched extensively online and found this excellent tiling course. This tiling course is a professionally run course and very intense. Although Darren takes the course he works every bit as hard as the students. Darren method of communication was excellent and he consistently ensured everyone had a full understanding of any tiling task he set. Wk 1 - We tiled walls in a bathroom, measuring out, tiled round sinks windows, added a border and putting in a design feature, worked on floors. Wk 2 - We tiled walls with obstacles- box section, windows and floors etc. This give me a great chance to problem solve on my own with Darren in the back ground on hand to advise. Wk 3 - My final task was a kitchen - tiling the walls and floor. For me this week was amazing as I could confidently tile a kitchen on my own. I was able to apply all the knowledge and skills from the previous 2 weeks. Having Darren in the back ground also spurred me on to complete this task. Overall I found this was a fantastic course. I came away with much more than being able to do a good tiling job. I now have the knowledge of how to set up and run a business. I was extremely inspired by Darren's knowledge, drive and determination. At every opportunity Darren shared his knowledge throughout the course and was more than willing to answer any questions put to him in over coming problem scenarios whether it was tiles, adhesives or setting up a business. For me personally it has give me the skills, confidence, drive and determination to hopefully make a successful business out of tiling. I like to take this opportunity to thank Darren and Tracey for everything. (PS Tracey you make a great cup of tea even though I had no time to drink it. :~) )”

“Unbelievable course, its amazing how so much information can be passed on into such a short time and delivered in a way that can be remembered. My friend had attended a three week course at another centre in the south and was telling me to go where he went yet i kept getting drawn back to UK Pro Tiling Training website, the pictures and reviews looked amazing so i rang Tracey who is one of the loveliest people you could talk to, not pushy just informative and happy to listen and guide you in the right direction. I booked a two week course. The course is fast paced to get through the huge amount of practical work and information overload given but the work everyone on the course produced in the first 5 days was outstanding, the course was backed up with countless pages of information handouts, i think over 50 pages covering everything, measuring exercises, adhesives, background prep, setting out etc, step by step guides of the practical tasks done on the course, right through to dealing with different situations you will come across once you leave, you cannot fail to do a good job here, the second week on the course goes into bespoke work and Darren pulls no punches here, he expects you to do a perfect job and to rectify any mistakes you made on the first week even down to the slightest spacer that may stick out, walls, floors windows, mitres the list goes on. When i got home i met up with my friend and showed him pictures of the work i had produced and notes on the course, he was gutted to see what tiling i had done and how much i had covered in the two weeks against what he had learned on his course in three weeks so much that he has booked a week at UK Pro Tiling Training himself. You cannot go wrong with this course, it is not for the faint hearted as Darren pushes everyone hard but he is a genuine guy with your interest at the core of his delivery, another major point i would like to add is Darrens knowledge of business which he passes on to the class, everything from what to do when you leave, setting up trade accounts, finding work, pricing jobs, selling yourself to your customers, i would think it would be impossible for any other course to deliver at this level. “This man is the business. Every minute of this course he devotes to his students. He has had a superb career and within minutes of being in his presence you will Understand why. He understands tiling and customers like no one I know. Not only will you walk away from this course having completed it knowing everything there is to know about tiling but how to project yourself above all the competition. This course is not for the faint hearted. My head was pounding on the Friday by 5am but come 4am Saturday morning I was wide awake in bed and had tiling on my mind. Crazy I know but he fills you with so much confidence and knowledge that you just want to get out there and tile the world. There are many courses out there but non come close to this one. This course is delivered with over 30 years of dedication and experience and I believe this is what sets him apart from all the rest. He wants you to succeed and take everything possible from the course. Couldn't not mention his wife Tracey who is amazing and helps settle the nerves and keep you hydrated all day long. I also had the pleasure of meeting his son who by now is probably a master tiler as he already had betters skills than me and he's only 8. Great family, great course, now do as I did and ring them. You won't regret it. Well you might, but only if you don't ring!”

“I've Just completed the 5 day tiling course at Uk pro tiling and I have not been disappointed in the slightest every day has been a challenge but an enjoyable one. I decided to do a tiling course as I am a plumber and it would mean I can do full bathroom installs as well as tiling so I started to look around on the Internet for courses near me and there wasn't alot About & if there was they wasn't offering much for my money and filling me with confidence. Soon I come across UK Pro Tiling and after looking and doing a lot of research even though I knew I'd have to travel & stay over for a week as I was coming from Liverpool to train at UK Pro Tiling I decided to give them a call to get as much information and details as possible, from the first phone call to the last Tracy was fantastic and very helpful, telling me everything about what the training involved to helping me find accommodation for the week . Darren's training skills and knowledge is second to none.The course moves along fast and each day you'll be learning something new, by the Thursday you've completed a bathroom with a centre piece.The business side of it on the Friday is essential to learn and Darren gives a brilliant insight into how to find work where to look and how to conect with people and customers Over all this course is everything you need if you looking to get into tiling. I would recommend to any who's thinking about doing this course to do the 5 day minimum.
