“Hello, I went into your website and messaged one of your online customer service agents, ask for the right shoe tree for the shoes I bought from you. I bought it and it doesn't fit the shoe type. Now I have to return it and pay a £10 fee. However Thomas bird has replied to me to wavier my return cost.”

“30 British Pounds ($38USD) is a bit steep for the return fee. It would be nice if that were issued as a store credit or an exchange for another style. As someone who owns 3 pair of TB Chelsea boots, not sure I can justify taking that risk of trying another pair.”

We always appreciate all feedback and we can understand your concern regarding returns costs and we have seen a significant increase in shipping costs for us but we will always try and work with our customers not only on advising how our shoes fit and compare to other styles but we can always look into exchanging to a different style or colour if available but this has to come through us directly as our online returns system unfortunately can't offer this. “The quality of the shoes is great 5/5. They are a bit on the narrow side but with that being said, suede boots expand with regular use. Love the product and the service was top notch. Will be ordering a second pair soon.”

“Great bespoke footwear, however I would like to see 1/2 size options as I'm a genuine 9 1/2 and find it a bit frustrating having to endure the breaking in process. Other than that I'm very impressed.”

“Great shoes. They shiped fast and were packed well through DHL. I love how the shoes look... no other brogue boot looks quite like the Montanas. My only issue's are the leather in the very front of the shoes on the top where the wingtip starts in the middle of the shoe probably could have been stitched a little better, and the blake stitching is beautifully done but the thickness of the sole and the quality of the sole is a little questionable for how expensive they were. But they are beautifully done hand made Italian leather shoes. Maybe not something you should wear out in the rain or extreme weather conditions. The catalog gave me is great as well. I would maybe buy some nice dress shoe from Thomas Bird again, but I've got Spainsh Leather Boots with Good year welts that were almost 100 dollars cheaper than the Montanas.”

“As usual, the shoes were of pristine quality. This being said, it would have been useful to indicate that you were going to declare a value of 50 GBP (instead of the 160 GBP paid amount), since I was approached by UPS for the import taxes. Hence, this time I had to pay a total of 80 GBP for import taxes.”

“I was really impressed with the overall quality of the suede & the heel comparred to other chelsea boots i have seen on the market that are half the price. I believe there is a genuine quality difference my only concern i had was the first i wore them, i walked on a gravelish type road with rocks & pebbles on the ground & the bottoms on my boots are perminately scratched & unable to buff them out. I understand overtime that is meant to lose quality but i was shocked to see how much they scuffed up just from one day. So going forward i am going to extra careful to where I walk with these shoes. Overall love the pair & they are my favorite shoe I have ever owned maybe leave a warning about things like that.”
