“I like the idea of buying top-quality tomatoes online as a replacement for the under-ripe offers from UK supermarkets. I ordered a box of the Kumato's but was disappointed as the taste/texture were less good than expected. In addition, unless you buy many kg, the delivery charges become significant. I will try their mixed heritage box hoping that they will be of better quality/taste.”

“Really wanted to love this service but there was a bit of damage to the tomatoes on arrival, and lots of little flies around those which had split. Mainly the smaller cherry toms, the big beef ones seemed more robust. That said the ones we had were delicious, was a shame we had to reject quite a few, as I love the idea. May have to grow my own or hope local farm shop gets some nice heritage varieties in.”

“I bought the big box of mixed tomatoes, a box of peppers and some Padron peppers all of which were amazing. Everything was so fresh and really tasty I couldn't recommend them high enough. The packing was brilliant and the delivery was exactly as promised. Definitely will be a frequent shopper.”

“Lovely flavoured tomatoes a real treat. Just one request. Some of the tomatoes are very ripe so it is difficult for them to travel without splitting. These ones have to be used straight away. The carrier is not always aware that the contents should be the right way up and handled correctly even though it is well labelled.”

“Beautifully fresh products. The tomatoes are always fabulous but had lovely multi-coloured aubergines and pointy sweet peppers this time which are all delicious. Everything is well packaged and delivered by a courteous and helpful driver”

“My order was sent to the wrong address because my billing address postcode was attached to the delivery address incorrectly. I discovered this when the delivery driver called to say he couldn’t find my house. I reported this to The Tomato Stall, they said they would re deliver the next day. The same thing happened not once but twice, despite me alerting them on both occasions that the delivery address notification from DPD was wrong. I was assured that the problem had been corrected. On the last attempt, no one from sakes returned my call/answered my messages…I could only raise someone from the accounts dept, who finally gave me a refund and and a free delivery. A waste of time, waste of good tomatoes and a costly mistake for the Tomato Stall…it makes me v nervous about using them again”

“The service and delivery were okay, i.e. the correct products were delivered on the right day. Beyond that, though, it was unimpressive. Quite a number of the tomatoes had to be thrown away because they were rotten from the outset. Worse still, though, ALL were over-ripe and as such, the distinctively different flavour of the different varieties - which is the whole point of heritage tomatoes - was lost. I cannot believe that an apparently specialist tomato retailer seems to think that everyone wants over-ripe excessively sweet tomatoes. I certainly don't, which is why I won't be ordering from here again.”
