“I have made several purchases now from the Stem including a Christmas tree and have just sent my mum an elephant ears plant for her birthday. Each time I have been incredibly impressed with the value for money and quality. The first order was last summer and the plants remain incredibly healthy and I’m pleased to say my mother was equally pleased with the quality of the plant she just revived and really liked the fact it didn’t come with lots of unnecessary plastic packaging despite being courier delivered. The plant academy section of their website is great too for plant care tips. Where I live in Marylebone you have to take your Christmas tree to a recycling point and it was amazing to note how much healthier ours looked than the others left there with hardly any needles dropped after a month in the house. I will certainly continue to order and recommend The Stem to friends and family. Keep up the great work!”

“Tree was lovely but it was 2ft longer than ordered and cleaning up after disposal was a real headache as it shed a phenomenal amount of needles, leaving a lot of mess to clean up.”

Hi Franco, Sorry to hear that your tree was bigger than expected. A great tip is to wrap your tree in a sheet when taking it out of your home to catch any needles! Best, James

“We bought a Christmas tree. It was a good-looking tree and the size was as advertised but had some issues. Unfortunately it didn't come with a wooden base (prompting some interesting DIY solutions to propping it up). But more importantly it was incredibly needle-droppy. Much more than any recent tree we have had. We kept it hydrated and fed and minimised the central heating as we do with our trees every year, but it started dropping needles the first evening that we had it and it just got worse from there. Was glad to finally get rid of it!”

Thanks for the review. We sell water retaining tree stands for your Christmas Tree, and we recommend using these to keep the tree hydrated, which will minimise needle drop! Best wishes, James
