“I don’t think it’s fair that creators have to have 5 thousand to charge money for work. At the end of the day we do the same work as larger creators if not work harder and faster because we don’t have collabs rolling in on a daily bases. I think the app has potential to be the greatest one out there but the brands are all small brands that are starting up and I have been getting paid as a creator for 6 years working with brands like L’Oreal and dove that actually pay small creators for their work and time. Atleast 100 per video is the minimum a ugc creator should make. Free products we can get by leaving reviews or going on a survey website. These brands are asking too much for a free 20$ shirt I’m getting bored of it”

We're debating if the five 5-star reviews rule is something we should guide ourselves after, and we're looking for more feedback. We took this decision because it's pretty easy to do five collaborations on Social Cat, but it's still something we try to understand better. 2. Our target market is small brands, but we're looking to acquire more of the established brands which are also interested in paid work. 3. We're working on product updates that will set the expectations right for gifted collaborations. On our communication channels, we always inform brands what they can expect in return for a gifted collaboration, but this will be even better with these new updates. Please be patient in seeing all this slowly going live; we agree that our app has great potential, and we're working slowly to implement the above. “Social Cat provides many opportunities to look through to collab with brands. The help center got back to me within 24 hours on a question I had that was very helpful. The screen is very easy to navigate as well!”

“I have been using Social Cat for 90 days and in that time have had 30 influencer posts. Most influencers have been very responsive and done good work for me. The change in the dashboard has made it easier to connect with an influencer and leave feedback. I am noticing an increase in followers on social media and traffic in my store. Well worth the monthly fees and effort!”

Hi Connor, Thanks for the review and feedback! We looked over your account, and I see you've been with us only for the free trial period, which is seven days, and only had four collaborations. From our experience and perspective, finding the right influencers to generate conversions takes time. It also depends on other factors, like how well your website is optimized for conversions, campaign placement, etc. Brands on Social Cat that have success from a conversion perspective work with tens of influencers to find the right ones and then tend to work with them regularly. “We've made 10 mutual matches and 8 have sent us products and we have had a great experience. 2 have ghosted us and only 2 out of the 8 have written a review, despite us asking. We love this concept and the brands we have collaborated with have been very happy!”

“On the brand side -- social cat is unable to decipher between real and fake engagement. This means creators with ACTUAL, genuine engagement fall behind people buying their likes, views, and followers. Furthermore, I have not interacted with this site for months -- this means that Social Cat doesn't even screen for active users.”

Our process of deciphering between real and fake engagement is made manually; our team checks each influencer that signs up on the platform. It is easier to spot the ones with fake engagement than genuine engagement. You can check our requirements for creators below: thesocialcat.com/what-are-we-looking-for-when-we-approve-creators We'd love your feedback on this and how we can improve. On the subject of verifying if brands like yours are active, unfortunately, that is something that depends on you as a brand. We send regular emails (Daily Digest, reminders, and notifications) to your Inbox, and on top of this, brands get two monthly reminders about the subscription. It's pretty hard not to know you have an active subscription with us, which can be canceled anytime, no questions asked. We thank you for your feedback and welcome more of it anytime!

“I have really enjoyed using Social Cat to meet brands who are looking to gift products in exchange for social media posts and reviews. So far I have worked with three brands, all wonderful and accommodating to my personal and posting schedule. One improvement I would suggest is having the brands mention clear posting expectations (example: 1 story, 1 main feed post) so that the creator will know what is being asked before accepting the product and collaboration.”
