I was pleased to find that Drinks Basket has a good selection of Beverages at good value. However I ordered an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof which is released in batches. The batch advertised is B517 which won Whiskey of the year in 2017 the batch I received was C918 which was not such a good batch. Batch varience is important when considering buying a whiskey such as Elijah Craig Barrel proof and I am dissapointed not receive the batch I intended to order.

Ordered 2 bottles of Metaxa as part of a special gift for my husband. We married in Crete 25 years ago and had booked to go back there to celebrate. Unfortunately, Covid-19 had other ideas. So, in an attempt to recreate Crete here in the UK - tracked down what I believed was "Gold Top" 7* Metaxa. What was delivered was "Blue Top" Metaxa. Online reviews say that blue top is inferior. I emailed Drinks Basket expressing my disappointment as I placed my order based on image shown on their website. To date, have not received any acknowledgment or response. Delivery was quick and price ok (although if I wanted Blue 7* I could have ordered this online elsewhere with free P&P). Based purely on their poor customer service response, I will not be using them again

Have not open the bottle a bit disappointed as I wanted this as a gift for a friend who a big moterhead fan bottle did not come in a box as Lemmy would have said "you can't win em all were would you put em

Good price. However, they didn't ship my purchase out until I called them a week later to see what the holdup was. They didn't respond to the e-mail I sent or reach out to me directly; what would have happened if I hadn't called?

Loved that we were able to get the Drink that we wanted having looked everywhere ... Sadly though we did not recieve it the next day if ordered before a certain time which we paid for as this was a Birthday gift .... Also sent a email requesting a refund of the next day delivery and as yet had no response ... It's the one thing that lets this company down

Ordered and paid next day delivery on a bottle of champagne as a gift. The gift was not received by the couple until the following Tuesday The reason for this, I was informed, was because I placed my order after 1pm on the Friday. I received a cursory and very brief apology for this I did not find this acceptable and will not use the company again ! There are plenty more online sites to buy from

Unfortunately my order was delivered, but not to me. Although when I telephoned the company they were very helpful, that was a far as it went. Nobody rang me back to follow up where the parcel went, I had to phone twice again to check for updates, but on neither occasion did anyone call me. I tracked down The postman where I lived and sorted the problem myself and he obtained the parcel for me. Their customer service skills need to improve as when customers orders are misplaced we want to know where a £140 bottle of champagne is!

When I put my card details in I did not receive anything that said my order had been completed or even an email confirming the order had been processed. My thoughts were my card had not cleared, I had actually gone out and purchased the large items again then my order came after that. Not impressed sorry

Just acceptable. Only used the Drinks basket as they had a particular wine in stock that others didn't. Took 5 days to acknowledge my order and that was after a second prompt from me. In the end wine took a week to arrive. Not what I was expecting.

My only complaint is despite me being at home upon delivery the postman simply put a card through the letterbox meaning that I had to wait a day before going to the delivery office to collect my order.

Initial contact , price and efficiency excellent to begin with all let down by their delivery company. After a delay on the order being shipped out to the carriers we were given 3 dates when it could arrive, the next day the day after that, failing that it will be Monday. Monday came and the courier text with a time, no problem we would be in all day which we were but no courier. Finally a text to advise that delivery was attempted, card left and to make another arrangement. As a compromise I had to pick it up from a local post office as the courier did not want to take the time to find my remotely located property. Very poor delivery service and unfortunately despite your prices being very competitive we will not be using The drinks Company again purely based on the delivery fiasco.

The product is fine the packaging is fine but the P&P is very expensive. If the shipping was more reasonable they would get Very Good

I've paid extra for 1-2 Day delivery. I've placed order in Wednesday I've been waiting till Friday 4.50 am. Thank you to girl in reception. Because of her I finally received my order at 8 am Saturday
