I ordered a bottle Of whisky from The Drinks Basket for a birthday present. The bottle that we sent was the wrong one, after emailing and 2 phone calls I have still had no response. Very poor service.

My previous order with TheDrinksBasket was perfect, but the more recent (10th June) order wasn't as successful, with only part of the order being delivered, and I ended up having to complain to get a credit note (Which to be fair was organised fairly quickly). It was just annoying to only get part the order.

Hard to give a review when my order still hasn’t arrived. I would suggest that Drinks Basket use a different means of delivery

Do not order a gift for this company if you are looking for a gift or personalised service Ordered a bottle of champagne to be delivered to a relative as a birthday treat. Gift arrived but with completely the wrong gift message inside for the wrong person. It wasn’t just the wrong message either. It was handwritten in another language. Called drinks basket and was told someone would call me back. They haven’t. Emailed them twice. Absolutely no response. So embarrassing as the relative did not know who the gift was from on receipt, which resulted in many awkward calls and texts to friends and family to find out Awful customer service. Will not order again and suggest other customers thinking of ordering a gift also steer well clear Appreciate mistakes get made but not acknowledging them or looking to rectify them for customers is unforgivable

I have previously used The Drinks Basket without any problems however on this occasion I have been very disappointed by their level of service. Delivery of my order was delayed and I received no notification of this. I called a number of times to find out the status of my order and each time my query could not be handled because the relevant person was in a meeting. I eventually called to cancel my order because it had not arrived by the time it was needed and to date I have received no confirmation of cancellation nor has anyone returned any of my calls. Very disappointing to receive such poor customer service.

One bottle was smashed and I got a refund to my pay pal account with out any communication for the company as to what is was for. I ordered 3 packs of beer but only received 2.

I received my delivery two days after purchase not know express wasn’t next day delivery therefore I messaged the company to ask for a refund but instead of explaining that it can be 1-2 working days instead of just 1 they just bluntly said ‘you’re parcel was sent monday’ to Which I replied saying I hadn’t received it the next day will anything get sorted for me, and they read this and ignored. I am aware that I was wrong about the delivery but I found the way it was handled was poor and blunt and extremely unhelpful

We haven’t tasted the contents of the parcel yet, so I can not comment on that. My review is solely based on the fact that the person that signed for the parcel, will be the recipient of this gift. They know roughly what is in the parcel as it was covered in “Drinks Basket” sticky tape. When I contacted them about this I was told it was so that packages could be returned if needed, but surely that is what the small label on the parcel is for, with the return address.

Parcel came as a Christmas present went to wrap it and half the contents of the bottle was missing. With no time left to buy a replacement it was given faulty as a gift and the recipient has been told she’s not allowed to take it away with her until I try get it sorted. Although postage was fast very poor quality control for the price

Package arrived not well enough wrapped / secured as was a gift box which was somewhat squashed and damaged therefore not suitable to give as a gift. I have had to go and purchase a second same item elsewhere.

Disappointed. First order was for case of 2011 Rioja, and 2012 arrived. Surely a wine shop should know the importance of getting the year right! Sent them a message but no one bothered to reply, so doubt I will use again.

First you sent the wrong wine, I ordered Cloudy Bay Sauvignon 2016 and received 2017. Second I was horrified at the packaging - a huge box with each bottle separately wrapped in thick plastic. We are supposed to cut out using plastic to save the oceans. What is wrong with a good old fashioned cardboard box with cardboard insets?

Hi Patrica Apologies about the year on the wine. If you had contacted us we can offer a full refund on the purchase. Regarding the packaging the inflatable bags reduce the chance of breakages and everything can be reused to transport bottles, if that's not required than all packaging is fully recyclable.

I ordered my gin in plenty of time for our gin night at the golf club. Ordered on the Tuesday for the event on the following sat. By the Monday I had not heard anything all my other gins from other companies had arrived( all ordered on the same day) . I phoned 3 times on the Monday to ask about the order, three times I was told nobody could speak to me from the correct department they would phone me back. I am still waiting for that phone call! I will not be using your company again.

I had ordered a bottle of Bacardi 8 as a gift for a rum drinking friend who only keeps bottles that come in boxes - the drink was shown on the site with a box but came without.. I then emailed to show my disappointment but have been thus far ignored!

This rating is more reflective of the Post Office a24 hr tracking service which The Drinks Basket chose to use as a delivery method it seems in the view of the post office 24hrs = 5 days! Drinks Basket refunded my £6.99 postage charge however that was all they could do and I was left in limbo for several days not knowing if it was going to arrive in time or not.
