Terrible. I ordered two bottles of high-end gin as Christmas presents, with express delivery. Two days later (it said 1-2 days for express delivery, and it was just before Christmas, so two days is fine), a package arrived. In that package was one bottle. ONE BOTTLE. With an invoice/receipt claiming they had sent two! I tried calling The Drinks Basket and the line is permanently engaged. I tried emailing The Drinks Basket and there was no reply. Not only have I paid for goods I haven’t received, I was also unable to give the Christmas present I had bought, and I’ve also wasted the additional money on the express delivery. I would NEVER use this company again. Sheisters.

Order placed 2/12/17 with 48 hour delivery via Royal Mail. Still not received on the 8th. Contacted company who stated they would send replacement with alternative courier if not received on the 9th. No delivery. Contacted company on 9/12 . No one available only 'receptionist' who is very pleasant but can do nothing. Have contacted the company 3 times since. Promised call back each time as no one available to assist me. Last call back promised at 4pm on the 10th. Still nothing. They are not interested. We chose because of previous good reviews but I think this may be a company to avoid. Zero customer service if things go wrong.

First order arrived smashed. Second order . No one seemed to know what had happened. Promised refund on postage etc yet to materialise.. All in all not a good experience

Hi Sir Apologies about the issues you faced, this is the same one star review as the one a below. You informed us that your parcel had not shown up, neither of us at this stage had any idea it was damaged, we then sent another one to you even though the first one was stuck in limbo. It was here that we can take some of the blame as we did not inform you of the tracking number of the 2nd parcel. The 1st parcel was then delivered to you smashed, and the 2nd one intact followed the day after. We could not issue any refunds as you had put a hold on the payment via Paypal, and now you have issued a claim to get the money refunded to you even though you have the products. Two members of our team have emailed you to get payment cleared but we have not heard anything back. Thank you Ron TheDrinksBasket

I had to contact them over a week after placing my order to see where it was. I received no order confirmation or delivery details until I chased it. It then took a further 3 days to receive my order.

The order had been delivered late for almost 3 weeks, customer service was terrible (no late delivery heads up, not getting back in touch with customer...). Even after all that time, did not even meet the quantity of the order.

Hi Tu Apologies about the issues you faced. The order was sent on time but was damaged in transit, the first we knew about this was when you called and said you hadn't received the order. As the whiskey you had ordered was quite high end we had only hold 18 bottles at a time. We then awaited the return of the damaged order which we received and processed. We then attempted to fulfill the order as much as possible (12 bottles) the payment was frozen by you, which we fully understand as you were worried. We spoke to you explained the situation and told you we will send out 12 bottles. These were sent on 24 hour delivery. Apologies again for the issues you faced a member of team will contact you shortly.

Delivery was short of 1x£45 bottle champagne. Rang straight away but no one answering phone so sent an email. Was promised delivery of missing bottle within 24 hours. Subsequent day, it still hasn't arrived, I've rung twice and no one ringing me back. Shocking service and I am still short of an expensive bottle bubbly. Update - Received call back following leaving this review and missing bottle was then sent and safely received.

The package arrived promptly as promised, but having spent £100 on a bottle of fine Cognac for a present, I was disappointed to find the seal on the box was broken. I have received a reply saying that one of your "team" will respond shortly. But still I await that reply!
