“Not as easy as you might think, but well worth completing. I would say that being TEFL certified opens up many more job opportunites; most companies require it. The site is easy to navigate and any questions are quickly, and pleasantly answered. The TEFL Academy will assume you will have a good handle on the English language: punctuation, spelling etc. Pricing is good, so have a go.”

“I recently completed the Level 5 TEFL course and I was quite happy with the course overall. I think the course was very thorough, but also managed to cover a wide range of topics. I do wish they reviewed grammar a bit more since I was not taught grammar well enough in school, and I also wish they shared the correct answers for the quizzes so I could more easily learn from my mistakes. But honestly, I am a college graduate and I found the course harder than expected (in a good way!). The reading and unit tests are not that difficult, but the assignments do require quite a bit of work. However, I did pass all my assignments on the first try and received very prompt responses from tutors and admin whenever I reached out (within a couple days). The tutors were very patient with my questions and thorough in their replies, which I really appreciated. Overall, I think this is a really good course and while you will definitely have to do some outside work/studies if you want to become an expert in any of the subjects (such as grammar), I think this is a great place to start your career as an English teacher. Whether you end up using your certification or not, it's a great and rather affordable way to get a taste of what teaching English entails. Thank you!”

“The TEFL Academy is a fantastic option if you are looking to teach online or abroad. The online experience was great, I never felt unsure or lost as to what was expected of me. “The content was well thought out, and provided a sufficient amount of information to feel confident to teach English as a foreign language. A myraid of extra information is provided as well. The assignments helped with my conceptualization on what a "real" class environment would look like, and feedback was sufficient, although a more in depth analysis/commentary would be beneficial. Otherwise, it is an excellent course.”

“The TEFL Academy provides great content for learning how to teach English! The courses are designed so you can go at your own pace and the assignments are reviewed quickly! I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a TEFL certificate. It was also a great value - the cost for what you get is awesome. One aspect to consider is that the course is a lot of reading so if you are someone who would prefer video/lecture, it might be a bit more challenging.”

“I found the TEFL course interactive, with plenty of activities to revise what I have learnt per unit. I think this is really important as this keeps it more entertaining as you do the online course. I had really underestimated the assignments, they were tough. But i do really feel that i am able to prepare an entire lesson now for students, which makes me feel confident and good about the future.”

“I found the TEFL course to be very useful for anyone interested in learning the techniques of teaching English as a foreign language. The material used has a lot of content that is imperative in equipping the potential teachers of the language. However, the course content is a lot, I wish it can be reduced so that it can be easy to go through everything within the set time.”

“I studied a level 5 tefl course. It was a great online experience with materials presented in a very consumable and enjoyable way, with extra information when required. The support was very fast and helpful. I really enjoyed. I would give 4.8 out of 5 because there are a couple of areas of improvement but was an excellent experience. This is why it’s not 5 stars, because I didn’t round up.”
