“I'd recommend this course to anyone wanting to get a grasp on teaching English - and, really, any language they're familiar with. I came into this course as a Linguistics graduate and fluent in French (as well as being a native English speaker) so I do think that I found the language elements generally easier than someone else might, but I do think that the assignments are sufficiently challenging even for someone with some prior knowledge of language learning. I feel like I've had a rigorous experience and have earned the qualification whilst learning a lot about lesson planning on the way. Of course, this course doesn't pretend to teach you everything there is to know about the English language and thus it's meant to be more of a springboard into further development, but it definitely gives the building blocks to start you off and give you a sufficient training in the foundations of teaching English (or a foreign language). I'm really pleased with how it's gone and I'm looking forward to using the skills I've gained in the course in my future career progression.”

“I have completed my Level 5 168-hours TEFL online course. The course content is well structured, organised and presented. They go into depth of learning English in a sufficient manner. I have learned a lot of new things on the English language, small details that carries lot of weight. I am very glad I chose The TEFL Academy, I did much research before I started and ended up choosing the right academy. Furthermore, the assignments really teach you the know-how of what you should present as an ESL teacher. I am very satisfied with their customer service. They are fast and sympathetic. 5 Stars.”

“Finishing the Level 5 course with the TEFL Academy in under 4 months feels like a super accomplishment! This course has given me the confidence to pursue an online teaching career after being in a classroom for a while. The different units were both interesting and extensive, and I would have welcomed even more assignments knowing that there was always support available. Feedback was detailed as I could clearly see which areas I could improve on. Overall, a great experience!”

“I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course. The assignments were a little challenging, but it was overall a great course. There was a whole lot of guidance within the course and assignments, and The TEFL Academy support team was also always ready to help further. The overall structure of the course was also quite user-friendly. Oh, and the fact that there was also a top-up short course of my choice on top of all of this was mind-blowing. I'm really glad I chose The TEFL Academy and I would definitely recommend it to others.”

“Overall I had a really pleasant experience doing this course. The information provided was clear and in depth When I had a question, the tutors got back to me in good time and were very helpful. I received quick feedback on assignments. It would have been good to have been given examples on how to improve in the areas I lost marks, rather than just being told what I did wrong, but in general was good feedback. I would definitely recommend this course to others. It helped me get a better understanding of my own language and gave me more confidence in my ability to teach.”

“The TEFL Academy turned out to be a great option for study. Across the 10 units I learnt so much about teaching English and the English language. At first the idea of going back to study was daunting but in the end it was all worth it. “This program was perfect for me. I did it online and so it was very flexible for me. Each unit was full of resources and materials that helped me learn. As the program progressed I felt like I had been learning a lot. This was a super helpful program! I already began a teaching job and feel well prepared thanks to materials and overall course by the TEFL Academy.”

“The TEFL Academy is the best institution if you want to teach English language as a second language. My experience was fantastic. The course is very well explained for each sections. It is informative,clear and well structured. I learnt things that I never knew as a native speaker. I like the videos especially for the class demonstration. “Thanks to The TEFL Academy I can now pursue my long term goal of being an ESL teacher! The online course was challenging I must admit however nothing is easily achieved! I studied the level 5 TEFL course, I really appreciate the structure of the course, each unit has an end of unit test which I found helpful to recap on topics as I progressed to move forward with the course. The website is very user friendly, making it effortless to navigate through. Highly recommended online course!”
