“I loved that so many different aspects of language teaching were covered in the 168hr course. The coursework that must be completed allowed you to really push the knowledge you gained through the units, and made you appreciate the sort of work you would do to plan a lesson for a proper class. The course left me feeling fully prepared for a career in foreign language teaching.”

“I took the level 5 TEFL course (168hrs) and loved it! This course is challenging but easy to follow. I found that my life experience helped my understanding of the material, but those experiences were also the reason I was interested in the program. I would highly recommend this course to teachers or young people looking to travel!”

“The Tefl Academy supplied the course within minutes of me signing up. They responded promptly to any questions raised. The course built on the concepts taught in an ordered manner with increasingly difficult concepts being taught later in the programme. The course was comprehensive and of a very high quality. The marks achieved are an indication that I was engrossed in the course and found it very interesting.”

“I have just completed the 168 hour TEFL course and I would definitely recommend the course. Overall I really enjoyed the course the online platform was easy to use and clearly laid out all the modules and assignment information you needed. The weekend classroom experience I thoroughly enjoyed as the teacher was excellent. She clearly explained the modules and tips and tricks to make your life as a tefl teacher easier. She also provided the class with loads of really interesting game ideas to use. We also got to try these games out ourselves in the classroom and also practice teaching the other people on the course. This was a great way to see how you would teach something in a classroom setting and also the teacher told you what you could improve. The assignments do take some time to complete but they give you a good idea of what teaching will be like. The feedback provided was excellent and extremely detailed which I found great as you could then improve your planning. Overall, I really enjoyed this course and would recommend it.”

The in-class instructor was genuinely very effective at providing feedback and made the material interesting and kept the class engaged. Assignment feedback was thorough and constructive to improve for real-life teaching environments.”

“Apart from doing the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) I have no other teaching training. This course is very well structured to lead the future teacher from the very basics to an advanced level of skills to teach professionally. The assignments were initially daunting, but became very enjoyable the deeper I got involved with them. Using the assignment guidelines of the course and combining them with my own ideas resulted in very interesting outcomes for which I scored above average. I can really recommend this course to everybody interested in teaching without a teaching degree or diploma. I do however believe that anyone doing this course must have a tertiary qualification before doing this”

“I studied the TEFL Level 5 course (168 hours) and I have learned so many things about teaching - new skills, new concepts and also ideas to put into practice in a classroom. This course provides exercises to complete during the course and the assignments makes you feel prepared to teach in a real classroom (if you do not have teaching experience). I feel more confident and prepared to teach and also that I have gained a new skill. This is the second course that I have completed with TEFL Academy. I totally recommend it.”

“I highly appreciated my 168 hours TEFL course. There was a lot of useful and well-structured information I can use in my teaching. I particularly enjoyed the section about different methods and approaches to ELT, as well as chapters on course planning and different types of the lessons. Moreover, plenty of links to great ELT resources were provided, and I actually just started using them in my everyday work - the materaials are fabulous. The unit tests were quite easy but the three assignments...I felt really scared at first but after all everything went just great and I got excellent marks. The course was not easy but definitely worth doing.”
