“The TEFL Academy was a lot of fun, studying in my own time and at my own pace was just so enjoyable! Every time I was confused about a certain thing, I would send an email to the TEFL Academy and an instructor would respond quickly and the help that they provided to me, was super helpful and easy to understand. I enjoyed every minute of my TEFL journey.”

“I completed The TEFL Academy’s Level 5 TEFL Course this year. I found the online learning aspect excellent, a real upgrade from the online learning that was part of my university degree around ten years ago. In terms of content, it provided a solid overview of the key aspects of teaching English, and outlined the trickier elements (some grammar, for example) exceptionally well. The in-person teaching weekend was also great – possibly the highlight of the entire course. I would heartily recommend this course to anyone interested in teaching English.”

“I took the Level 5 TEFL Course. It was very thorough, and sets students up for success as an ESL Teacher. However, the grading system leaves a lot to be desired. The End of Unit Tests are mandatory, and must be passed, yet don’t count towards your grade.. Your mark is based only on the assignments. I spent many hours on each assignment, yet I received low marks. When asked to “resubmit”, or after receiving a low mark on Assignment A, there is no ability to ask the person marking what you did wrong, or how you can do better on the next assignment as your marks on Assignments come from “do not reply” email addresses. I think that’s a major failing of the course. However, the course content does prepare students for teaching English.”

“The Tefl Academy was what exactly I was looking for. I took the course not beacause I intend to work abroad ,but for personal development and a boost in my CV. Teaching tips, precise exa mples, receptive and productive skills were only few of the areas that I was taught during this valuable course, I really appreciate the helpful feedback of my assignments that were quick and analytic. “I found TheTEFLAcademy’s course to be very thorough and user-friendly for a person who has had no prior experience in learning to teach! It was well thought-out and covered all the bases in a way that was easy to understand. The units of the course were not too long, nor too difficult, but still provided an insightful challenge in the form of the assignments. I think my only advice would be to communicate with students in a more efficient way than emails and tickets, as I believe this could greatly shorten the response time. Otherwise, a great course! I enjoyed it thoroughly and appreciate the effort that went into making its so user-friendly!”

“I'd recommend this course to anyone wanting to get a grasp on teaching English - and, really, any language they're familiar with. I came into this course as a Linguistics graduate and fluent in French (as well as being a native English speaker) so I do think that I found the language elements generally easier than someone else might, but I do think that the assignments are sufficiently challenging even for someone with some prior knowledge of language learning. I feel like I've had a rigorous experience and have earned the qualification whilst learning a lot about lesson planning on the way. Of course, this course doesn't pretend to teach you everything there is to know about the English language and thus it's meant to be more of a springboard into further development, but it definitely gives the building blocks to start you off and give you a sufficient training in the foundations of teaching English (or a foreign language). I'm really pleased with how it's gone and I'm looking forward to using the skills I've gained in the course in my future career progression.”

“Overall I had a really pleasant experience doing this course. The information provided was clear and in depth When I had a question, the tutors got back to me in good time and were very helpful. I received quick feedback on assignments. It would have been good to have been given examples on how to improve in the areas I lost marks, rather than just being told what I did wrong, but in general was good feedback. I would definitely recommend this course to others. It helped me get a better understanding of my own language and gave me more confidence in my ability to teach.”

“The level 5, 168 hour online course covers all the necessary elements for teaching English. You learn all the strategies and methods needed to excel as an English teacher. The course content is described in a manner that makes it easy to grasp and you are given 6 months to pace yourself. The instructors respond fairly quickly, within 7 working days, and the assignment feedback is explained in great detail. A lot of job support is provided through their jobs page. I highly recommend pursuing the level 5 168 online course.”

TEFL stands for Teach English as Foreign Language. the setting and concept is to put you on the flow of teaching knowledge and skills in order to obtain accreditation and to be exposed to various teaching opportunities either Online or face to face (teaching abroad). I have a positive Comment style of teaching that the level 5 TEFL gives to its students the level of professionalism is too high. “The course was extremely thorough. The assessments were challenging but was really worth while. The course was interesting and taught you a lot. I was a bit naive into think the course would be quite simple, and although in reality it is as there is no requirements to teach in the class room, it requires a lot of learning, time and brain power!”
