“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the level 5 168h hour course. The units are easy to understand while still giving a very in depth overview of both the English language and teaching EFL. The quizzes and activities throughout the online course are very helpful to make sure you understood the content. Similarly, the in class time was invaluable and my only regret is not having done more of the online units before hand, especially because advice in terms of the assignments would have been very helpful. The assignments, while good practice, did seem repetitive and at times I was unsure what they wanted from me. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend it!”

“The course is a well organised and thought out course. The units are organised well, with a plethora of information available for the students as well as a further reading section. I now feel confident to start teaching English, and thanks to the certificate I have got, this will help.”

“I have purchased many TEFL courses but this is the first one that I actually finished. The 168 hour level 5 course is well laid out and easy to navigate. The short unit tests were easy to complete as well. I throughly enjoyed the assignments as they were quite challenging and really made you think as if you were a teacher already. I was also so nervous for the 20 hour in class course as I’m an introvert but it went beyond my expectations. It was very informative and really helped with understanding the assignments and what is expected of me as a future teacher. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.”

“I enjoyed most of my experience with the Level 5 and online courses, and thank the Academy for opportunity. However, I believe I read that I will not have access to the coursebook after a period of time, which, if true, I find quite unhelpful. Is this practice usual with online courses? I could be mistaken, but in my opinion, once you pay for a course of study, you should be able to refer back to the materials indefinitely.”

“The TEFL Course is very well done! It's clear and complete and you have the possiblity of checking your knowledge over and over again. The material such as exercieses, videos, examples was great and well structured. I enjoyed this course! The Support Staff and were exceptional, always there when I need help.”

“it was a good experience and i learnt alot more about teaching than i thought i would. planning lessons and structure was useful. the only thing i would say is the lack of communication with real people is difficult whether that be the examiner of an assignment or other students doing the same course. it would have been nice to interact”

“The course is structure d very well with the combination of easy and hard material, the outcomes are clear. I enjoyed the course overall, however, I wish I'd have more than 6 months to complete it. “The course was interesting and well structured. I enjoyed the variety of tasks. It is very general and I am now doing my own study to teach online. I would have liked more on Total Physical Response as this seems to be very desirable in the American online schools. I really enjoyed the 2 day face-to-face part of the course.”

“I think the TEFL academy is the next best thing to getting real life teaching experience when it comes to preparing you for the classroom. I already had a linguistics degree but wanted to complete a TEFL Certificate to refresh my knowledge. What I really appreciated was learning how to lesson plan as this was something I’d never had exposure to before but will be so helpful when I start teaching in Japan this September.”

“The TEFL Academy offer a comprehensive course that covers both the technical and practical parts of English Language Teaching. The online material is easily digestible with a user face that is easy to understand and navigate. The course structure ensures you learn and understand each level of content and I was able to get through the course completely independently at my own pace. It was my first experience with an online course and I am so happy it was so successful! Thank you for a great experience!”

“I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course and enjoyed it very much! The content was easily understood and was displayed logically and in a helpful manner. I enjoyed every minute whilst doing this course. The first two assignments were tricky but necessary. The last assignment was my favourite as it focused on multiple areas and had different types of tasks within to complete. I am very happy and proud to be a TEFL teacher now. I only have one critic, which is very minimal but due to this being a review I thought I would add it. The only thing that is missing for this to be a perfect course, is for their to be a system where I could have scheduled a face to face video call with a expert from TEFL when it came to questions or queries that needed a more detailed explanation for full understanding. Thank you TEFL for the incredible experience.”

“a thorough and detailed program to learn what and how to teach English. I felt that there was little connection between the tests and the assignments. It was hard to gauge the level of a 'top' assignment. However, many of the 'lessons' had practical advice on how and what to teach. The vast range of resources to assist in the teaching process is amazingly useful. On the whole, a really worthwhile and valuable course I can understand the application of the lessons in the teaching process.”
