“I greatly appreciated studying for my certification to teach English as a foreign/second language through The TEFL Academy. I found the course well structured and easy to follow. The content was explained very well, and the assignment too. If there was something I needed to ask, the tutor were great assistance and the ticket system worked very well. I got swift replies and great support. The classroom aspect for the course was a ton of fun, yet educational. Having no teaching experience, learning about the dynamics of teaching, class management and everything else, was presented in a fun way. There was also opportunity to practice what we have learnt and that was great. My mentor is fantastic. Knowledgeable about the field, he presented the course well and offered great advise. Overall, I loved the experience. I would definitely recommend it.”

“Very concise, organised and well put together. It should, however, be made clear to prospective students that a degree and experience are major criteria in finding online students as without these my husband has had no success. It has been a waste of a rather large sum of money after having been retrenched and retiring age. He has even done the Business English without success of finding students.”

“Having hit a crossroads in my life, hitting forty and recently retrenched after a good long career in marketing and event management. I decided to make a complete career twist and I started my Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) in August and completed it before the end of September, having so much time on my hands made it easier as I could set full study days. I found the course to be easy to navigate through, with tests at different sections to check that I was understanding the course and what would be required from me. Having not studied in many years, it took me some time to get back into the assignments and I landed up thoroughly enjoying every moment spent on the course and my assignments. Feed-back when needed was relevantly quick and assignments were marked and returned with good feedback and pointers from the markers. I would recommend TEFL Acadamy to any learner young or older due to the ease and the ability to study and complete your course through many different devices.”

“I completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) within six months, while working full time. The standard of the study material and projects is comparable to that of a university module, while remaining digestible. The website is professional, and the activities throughout each module are great for self-assessment and information retention. I feel prepared to teach English on a theoretical front.”

“The course is both well organised and structured. The content is comprehensive and insightful. The website is user-friendly and easily accessible. For the record, I think the instructions for the assignments themselves would benefit from greater clarity (i.e. one master set of instructions rather than individual ones where there may be inconsistency between them - ref. Assignment C). The online (email) support is both responsive and very helpful. I also participated in the on-site Classroom course which was well-planned and both enjoyable and informative. Overall, an extremely well-organised course which I would recommend to others.”

“I have just completed the TEFL level 5 (168 hours) course. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend the TEFL academy and this course to anyone. I liked the fact that it combines the online and classroom components. The online part was easy to follow and the assignments were challenging but really helped with putting into practice what was taught in the different units. Getting to know other students and practicing a bit of teaching in the classroom part was invaluable. I look forward to what the new adventures are in store with this new qualification. “I'm a icu nursing sister and have always wanted to do the tefl course but felt this course would be to intimidating for me considering I have been nursing for 16yrs. I would recommend everyone to do it... It was broken down into small modules that were taught in a unique manner and not overwhelming in the least... I understood everything and where I got stuck the tutor was amazing in how he showed me where I could improve and make changes. The academy itself had alot to offer in specialized courses... I have completed the one on one and am currently doing the esl business... A lovely experience. I am so excited to start teaching.”

“I studied the level 5 -168 hour course with the TEFL Academy over a period of 6 months. I found the online course both interesting and challenging. The weekend teaching practice was very enjoyable and gave a good window into what teaching TEFL would be like. The assignments were stretching but there was a lot of online support given by means of clear instruction on how to complete the assignments and the feedback given was particularly supportive and informed.”

“Hi everyone! I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) and it was a great experience! Although it is an on line course it is very interesting and engaging and the units are very well structured and what I really enjoyed was all the extra material you are given. Plenty of web sites to enrich your knowledge and useful tips to make sure your lessons are successful!”
