“I wanted to study for a TEFL certificate and I decided to do a ton of research into which organisation to get it through. Although you can find a few providers of budget style TEFL courses, as soon as I came across The TEFL Academy's website and courses, I looked no further. They offered the greatest choice of types of courses that interested me as well as offering both classroom and online options on certain offerings. Along with this, they offer a fantastic level of support - if you have any questions about learning on the course, or if you need some guidance on a particular aspect of an assignment - you just submit a ticket and they generally get back to you in a matter of of hours. In the end, I picked the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) and completed it online (I was unable to attend the courses due to my employment) and I have been thoroughly pleased with the entire process. Not only have I earned a valuable qualification, but I genuinely feel like I have learnt a great deal in the process. I will be considering TEFL Academy again for top-up courses in the future.”

“Getting certified with the TEFL Academy was definitely a worthwhile experience! I opted for the Qualifi Level 5 (168 hours) Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and found that not only were the units packed full of useful and applicable information but also that the feedback given after each assignment was constructive and encouraging. I feel adequately prepared to begin my online teaching experience and would definitely recommend the TEFL Academy!”

“The TEFL Academy is professional and their 168 hour level 5 course is well structured and simple to get into especially since everything you do is online. It is user friendly and straight forward. The assignments are challenging yet not impossible and the feedback from tutors are useful and well analyzed. Would DEFINATELY recommend the TEFL academy to anyone wanting to attain their TEFL certification.”

“The TEFL Level 5 online course allowed me to study at my own pace and gave me the opportunity to change careers in my later years. Living in South Africa has its own challenges e.g. bad postal service. But fortunately TEFL Academy have made provision for that and will post a PDF copy of my certificate to me.”

“I recently completed the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) with the TEFL Academy and I could not have been more pleased. I was extremely impressed with the material and additional resources provided and feel confident in my ability to instruct English as a second language in any setting now. The material is up-to-date, the assignments thought provoking and applicable to english instruction as a foreign language, and the feedback provided by the instructors timely and designed for ongoing improvement. “The Level 5 (168 hour) course was extremely valuable in learning the foundations and application of this type of teaching. The information was comprehensive, easy to navigate, and had sufficient ongoing testing to check understanding of learning outcomes. The 20 hour practical workshop was extremely valuable, and I would recommend it as part of all TEFL online courses. The facilitator was knowledgeable, professional and encouraged free thought, participation and creativity. The assignments were interesting and helped to promote research, creativity and detailed application of course knowledge.”

“Studying the TEFL Level 5 Course (168 hours) was a challenging but rewarding experience. The course contains so much information that, even as a first language English speaker, I was not familiar with. I had limited time to spend on studying as i still work full-time so my weekends were dedicated to the course. I wish I could have had more time during the week because once I started working the hours flew by as I became completely engrossed. Nevertheless I have completed the course and earned my certificate and am very proud of my achievement. I will continue to do the add on courses during this year as well. Thank you TEFL for a professional, well structured course.”

“I was a student for a number of years it's nice to have the perspective of the teacher too. There's a lot I didn't know about my native language! Really enjoyed learning about how to teach effectively. I worked through the online course in around 2-3 months. The content was interesting and the assignments were very challenging. The practical classes were fun, and it was useful to try out some of what I'd learned, and to feed off the experience of the instructor. I would say try and make the most of this time! Now I feel pretty well prepared to start working as an English teacher. Still a lot to learn but this course does prepare you very well I think.”

“I found the course very thorough and well set out. I feel that it would be useful, for learning purposes, to see a marked script to see exactly what could be improved for the assignments. Alternately, a memo of sorts would be useful. In addition, I feel the in-person course could include more unique content that is not in the online course. While I found it very useful because of interactions with a teacher and fellow learners, some new content would have been appreciated. Overall, I would definitely recommend the TEFL Academy Level 5 (168 hour) course”
