“It's a viable possibility to achieve your TEFL certificate even if you are working full time. The course begins with an intensive 2 day "on-site" meeting with an experienced trainer. For me it was in Berlin where I also had the chance to meet my fellow students. This is very motivating and will hold you through the coming months as you work through the online program from home at your own pace. The course itself is very well written and offers plenty of examples and short tests. The "teacher" Claudia was a very likeable character. Also the TEFL Academy provides many links to interesting topics on teaching English so that there was plenty of additional material to learn from. The assignments (3 main projects that included everything learned in the last 3 -4 chapters were challenging and very time consuming, but this is because TEFL Academy wants to ensure that their students really understand the principles and methods presented. The feedback from my evaluator was always kind although I was encouraged to redo some of the activities in order to reach the objectives of the assignment. I am now putting many of these methods to use. I have become a free-lance ESL instructor and teach Business English to adults in different companies. And yes, many of the ideas I learned for teaching children can very well be applied to my adult learners who enjoy playing some language games and competing in teams. If I had any technical or administrative queries, their helpdesk replied in a very timely manner. All in all an excellent experience and absolutely worth the small investment. Thanks to all at the TEFL Academy.”

“I just finished a Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). It was a very thorough course with a lot of depth. The assignments are very helpful, and the tutor feedback is prompt and useful. I'd recommend this course to anyone considering a TEFL job in the future!”

“Well presented and very well structured course. The units are well planned and instructions easy to follow. I've not studied in some years but I enjoyed the challenge the course presented. I would recommend the Level 5 168 hour course to anyone who wants to teach English as a Foreign Language.”

“This is a very well structured course. I really enjoyed learning with the TEFL academy. The modules are very insightful and interesting. Each module nicely flow into the next. The 3 assignments really test your ability of lesson planning. The fact that the assignments are marked with feedback gave me a clear indication of where my strengths and weaknesses lie. The assignments can be challenging but i found the 20hours of practical teaching (weekend sessions) really helpful as it enabled me to put learning into context and gave me first-hand experience of tefl teaching. I highly recommed purchasing the weekend combined session alongside the online course. The online aspect of the course is enables you to work independently and work at your own pace. The support team provided direct and clear guidence when needed and they were also very quick to reply.”

“I've loved doing the Level 5 tefl course! Each module was set out in a way that you could organise your study time around work and other commitments. The exercises throughout each module helped to develop your understanding and prepare you for the assignments. The quality of the course material is exceptional and professionally written, including feedback on assignments. The extra reading was also really useful. I found the 2 day classroom activity invaluable, to be able to practise what I'd learnt and get direct feedback. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to reach English as a foreign language.”

“The Level 5 168 Hours TEFL course was not only great value for money, but a very enjoyable learning experience. The course is easy to work through at your own pace and covers all of the essential learning and more. Leaves you very confident afterwards about starting in the classroom. The practical training is very very useful. The tutors and support staff are excellent and friendly and there to answer any questions patiently.”

“Just completed the Level 5 Tefl Course (168 hrs). It has been an amazing experience. It was quite challenging initially (as I started studying again after nearly 30 years) but as the course progressed I was totally absorbed into it. It transported me back to my college days, it was a good 3 months of my life well spent , each day eagerly awaiting the new challenges thrown at me by the course(I completed the course in 3 months). The 3 assignments have been great learning experiences, completing them have cemented the teachings in my mind for life. I strongly recommend this course to all who want to start their TEFL Career. Surely “The world is going to be my oyster “...... looking forward to it .”

“I have just finished the 168 hours Level 5 TEFL course with the TEFL Academy and I found the course to be of a very high standard. The content was excellent and the modules were well designed to maintain my interest. The use of quizzes both within the modules and at the end of each module increased my enjoyment of the course as did the assignments. “I have just completed the tefl 168 hour level 5 course and, although it was extremely challenging and very hard work, I enjoyed every minute of it. The units were well organised and covered everything you need to know and more besides. The assignments were much harder than I had anticipated but definitely made me challenge myself, the feedback was much appreciated and so helpful.
