“I’m grateful I came across the TEFL Academy course and was able to purchase their Level 5 Course at an incredible price. The course will surely help me work from home, which is something I’m looking forward to. The course is very thorough at giving you all information that is needful to begin teaching. The course was easy to understand and interesting. The assignments really stretched me to improve my teaching and planning skills. The platform was well organized it and well functioning. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it.”

“I am giving a 5-star rating for the TEFL Academy because I fully enjoyed completing the course and I have learned a lot which I will be able to easily apply in my future teaching career. The course is structured in a logical order – slowly and gently easing students into ESL teaching. I especially enjoyed getting the feedback from the tutors which was really in-depth and giving me an opportunity to improve in the future. And the amount of useful tips and resources on the course was positively overwhelming which I think it is especially beneficial for beginner ESL teachers. Overall, a great course and I look forward to using the knowledge I gained in practice!”

“If you are considering doing this course, take this review as a sign to go for it! The course is simple to follow with steady progression throughout. There's excellent additional material and support to enhance your learning experience. I completed my certificate in December 2020 and have secured a job in Vietnam for 2021! This course could be the start of a new adventure or a great addition to your CV.”

“The 168-hour Online Qualifi 5 TEFL Course is thorough and engaging. The online course is flexible, well structured and follows all of the essential aspects of teaching ESL. This course has given me the confidence in equipping me with all of the necessary skills to teach ESL. The online tutors were helpful and provided valuable feedback on the assignments. Overall, this is an excellent course, one that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to teach ESL online or abroad.”

“In a time where people are constantly trying new things and driven by new challenges, this was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Never in a million years did I think of ever doing a teaching course to teach others the splendours of the English Language , simply because it had never crossed my mind. With this I write: after hearing about the opportunity, being introduced to the TEFL Academy and partaking in the course, I can say with pleasure that I have passed the course. The TEFL Academy has been a wondering learning place and learning experience. The facilitators are always there to answer any enquiries and guide you to make sure your experience is of value. And the many things and skills you learn along the way can be helpful when venturing into this career field. It's been one of the most trickiest things I've ever done, but in the same breath, to say that I've done something worthwhile and challenged myself to something new is incredible.”

“At 45 years old I never thought I would be studying again after being in Travel most of my adult life. But the Pandemic has forced me to rethink my life and the path I am on. Doing a TEFL course with The TEFL Academy was a daunting thought to start with but once I got started on the course I realized it was very easy to follow, very informative and interesting and has ignited a new passion I never thought I had! The course really user friendly, easy to follow and challenging enough so that you are sure that once you have finished you have a great starting base for starting a new career in Teaching english. Their feedback is great and you never feel like you are doing this alone - there is always someone available and the staff are friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend The Tefl Academy if you are looking for a high quality course to get you started in Teaching English.”

“My 2020 Lockdown Project was to get Level 5 TEFL Certification, which I've just completed. My background: I have absolutely no other teaching qualification, though I did teach TEFL in Japan for 3 years, back in 1990-93. I was flying by the seat of my pants most of that time, and it showed, so I wanted to get some proper training & certification. I chose TEFL Academy because the cost was reasonable, there was a focus on British English rather than American English (I'm an Aussie, so we do a bit of both here, but mostly British spelling etc) - and I loved the Irish accent of the guy who answered my initial enquiry (and his positive attitude too!). Overall, I was really impressed by this course - I love the way it was structured & presented, in written format so I could do it at my own pace, and with lots of self-test exercises. There were some bits I knew pretty well already, and others that were quite new and I needed to go more slowly & thoroughly. So it worked very well for me - and I think it would work well for others from a range of backgrounds & experience. Especially if you are an independent learner, you will find the flexibility of this course very congenial & easy to follow. The 3 assignments are challenging & require real work - but they are where I got my greatest learning, and they are all very relevant and useful. You are given all the materials & information you need for each one, and so while each one appears slightly intimidating at first glance, they are all structured & presented to make the work easily doable. And you get detailed individual feedback on each assignment so you know what you did well & what you could do better - and if necessary, you can try again. If you take the assignments seriously, you will be much better prepared to teach TEFL than I ever was back in 1990! I would highly recommend the TEFL Academy Level 5 TEFL Course to anyone who is serious about teaching EFL, whatever background you come from. The course is set up for you to succeed. You have to put the work in, but if you do, you will not only get your certificate, but also have a confident understanding of how to actually teach a TEFL class & have successful students too.”

“As an older student wanting to begin TEFL, I needed to find an exemplary course. The Level 5 TEFL course at The TEFL Academy, which I have just completed, proved to be that. The logical progression and clear explanations, along with the wealth of resources made even the harder concepts easier to understand. The depth and breadth of the material allow you to further your studies and gain valuable insights. Tests clearly showed what needed revisiting, and practical Assignments solidified the learning material. The Assignment feedback was detailed, informative, and helpful. I now have the skills, resources, and confidence to start my TEFL journey, and have already found opportunities to further my experience, all thanks to this particular course.”

“All throughout this course, I have received high-quality TEFL instruction which has taught me a variety of effective strategies for teaching English as a Foreign Language. The content was interesting and engaging, and all of the tutors provided feedback and support in a timely manner. In addition to this, the varied assignments and the additional suggested readings and activities have increased my confidence regarding teaching in a TEFL classroom. Overall, I feel very prepared and suitably trained to begin my career in TEFL, and I strongly advise others to complete the course too.”

“I learned a lot during this self-study course, which is always a sign of a satisfying course! I found the pronunciation and grammar units particularly insightful and felt very grateful to be given so many ideas and resources in every single module. The only things I might change would be to include more detail about one-to-one online teaching and also the format of the coursework - I found writing out my teacher language quite odd and unrealistic, but as doing a mock lesson 'live' would have been impossible under 2020 CV19 circumstances I suppose it would be hard to assess teaching style without this component. Many thanks TEFL Academy!”

“I completed the Level 5 TEFL Course in 2020 and found it a really rewarding and enjoyable experience, the course is so well laid out and there are interesting activities and challenging assignments throughout, which keep you on your toes and consolidate what you've learned in the previous units. There is assistance available at all times from tutors via a ticketing system, which is so reassuring. Overall I would highly recommend this course to anyone thinking of pursuing a career in TEFL.”

“The Level 5 TEFL course is very insightful. The course touch on different areas one will need to know when teaching English, for example, lesson planning, ESL terminology, a few units that focus on grammar and parts of speech, how to evaluate materials, how to manage a class. The knowledge I gained, I can use in the classroom but also in everyday life. The support teams respond quickly and answer all your questions. I will definitely recommend The TEFL Academy and the Level 5 Online course to everyone.”
