“I really enjoyed my course with The TEFL Academy, the course was very interesting and the three assignments were really testing, which made the challenge more enjoyable. The tutors respond quickly and always give great tips and advice, I would definitely recommend the level 5 course to anyone looking to teach ESL students in the future.”

“First of all I have to tell that I have already taught languages for a decade so it might influence my opinion and may be different from those who have really started to learn with only few or even without experience. One reason for me to start this course was further education. Plus it was completely online, so I was able to organise my schedule myself. You have to be disciplined to get through though, because noone will remind you when you get lazy. The Units are short enough to get through them in a convenient space of time, if you want, you can finish one in one-two days. The stress is on living teaching and didactics and less about theory in gramar etc. Although die Adacemy provides further information and links, people who know only little about the theory should urgently study themselves because the course might not be enough. Being a mother tongue doesn't mean you are a teacher, so don't forget to cram the theory! The explanations are pretty good and provide many good advices. After a decade of teaching I really felt motivated to try out new ideas, sheets etc., pretty remarkable. The assigments are profound and offer good feedback. You get a lot of help so everyone who really puts the effort in it can manage to pass them. The assigment feedback was the best about the course in my opinion. Doing them is not fun, but I wasn't there to be entertained but to learn something. So better you plan a free day to concentrate on your assigments because you might have to resubmit them without mercy, when its completed half-hearted. All in all I have learned a lot even as a teacher and I think it was definitely worth it - also if you take the price into consideration.”

“And I thought I knew my English. With out doubt TEFL is the master when it comes to training teachers. Would I recommend this course to others - absolutely. It certainly stretched me, certainly made me feel uncomfortable, but whoa do I feel confident now. Yes, yes, yes - a must do for any aspiring teacher.”

“"I've recently completed The TEFL Academy Level 5 (168 hours) online course and would highly recommend it to serious students as it is intense. I am happy to say my hard work and dedication paid off with a Merit Award. The TEFL Academy online course is amazing. I've learned so much and feel confidant I can apply my new knowledge. The website was very easy to use and I enjoyed all the interactive activities and the Unit tests. The Assignments were beyond intense and the feedback was very constructive. “Wow. Where do I start? I joined the level 5 TEFL Academy course when I saw an excellent deal for it advertised whilst I was looking online, though I think that at full price the course is 100% worth it. I found it a shock at first as I have never done any kind of course and work from home, however after my first assignment and with the help from my tutor, I felt more than ready to carry on with the course. The content of the course is brilliant and filled to the brim with helpful information, not just for the assignments, but also for potential future teaching jobs. I went to Italy for a month au pairing in the middle of my course, so I found that the experience helped me with my course and led me to really enjoy my work. I started this as something to do during lockdown, whilst also thinking about my love for travelling and it has been perfect for me. If you are thinking of joining this course, I thoroughly recommend that you do! I am so excited to start teaching and potentially move abroad and teach after I've got my degree.”

“I found this particular course to be an overall excellent experience and good preparation for becoming a EAL language teacher. I thought the material on the course was relevant, challenging and presented well. The only thing that was challenging would be the online learning aspect because of technical issues and teaching yourself the content.”

“Overall excellent experience and good preparation for a teaching position. The material was relevant, challenging and presented well. The only difficulty I encountered was that the marking of each assignment was done by a different individual and I felt the marking style was inconsistent. I would have liked to have had a higher word count maximum on the assignments as some of the questions deserved more elaborate responses than 200 or 400 words could allow.”

“I have recently completed the Level 5 TEFL course, and I thoroughly enjoyed each of the 10 units presented. The website was accessible and easy to use, I was interested in the material, and the interactive activities were my favourite - challenging me to apply what I had been learning. The assignments were difficult but I had access to all of the material I needed to complete them, I learnt a lot from the feedback I was given by tutors, and I felt supported throughout the course. I am looking forward to teaching EFL!”

“I enjoyed the course at The TEFL Academy. It was really in-depth and I felt supported throughout my learning as I got helpful feedback from the tutors and admin support always responded very quickly to any queries I had. “The TTA level 5 TEFL Course is absolutely amazing! Because of the structure of the course, it helps the student to gain confidence as he/she progresses. Some of the gap-fill activities leave room for improvement, as it does not allow for variation and some correct answers are often marked incorrect...A bit like playing the LOTO! On”

“I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course with The TEFL Academy and it was a great experience! I had no previous experience with TEFL teaching, but the units take you through everything you need and the assignments give you a chance to practice and demonstrate critical TEFL teaching and lesson-planning skills. I did have to resubmit one assignment, but I got such thorough and helpful feedback that I was able to successfully complete it. I loved being able to work at my own pace, but still get timely instructor help and feedback on my work.”
