“I would definitely recommend this course to other students. I studied English and Latin at A’ level and I was surprised at how ‘hard’ I found the course, initially. It was a bit of a wake-up call to me as, having fifteen years teaching experience, I thought I’d find it a breeze! I think expectations have changed since I was at university and did a tefl course – this was primarily ‘playing games’ and I don’t remember there being anything like the focus on grammar that I experienced on this recent tefl course. I personally think this trend towards comprehensive coverage of the foundations of our language is a good thing; and although it undoubtedly makes the ‘mastering of all necessary skills’ harder for the teachers, I think this is a huge plus for the student. They are definitely getting better value for money now! There was a lot of information to assimilate during the course but, after initial misgivings I was pleasantly surprised at how much ‘seemed to go in’! This was I think largely due to the presentation of the material; and when it came to the two assignments at the end, I was able to tackle them with enough confidence to secure me a good grade – which was a real boost to my confidence. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the course organizers for enabling me to cast myself into the job market – and hopefully put my skills into practice.”

“I loved studying 120 hours with TEFL academy. The e-learning platform was easy to navigate with a clear design, good functionality, and great content - very informative and relevant. Every time I had a problem, the TEFL staff were very swift and helpful, I felt very cared for. Although I was good with language and grammar in school, I never thought of teaching English. Coming from a Fine Art background I was advised at the end of my degree to go onto a PGCE programme that would be topped up into a Master, but looking closely into the curriculum I decided against because of the amount of paper work and unrelated supplementary work that was expected of you. TEFL proved to be a much better choice to pursue in order to enter the teaching world. TEFL seemed so logical and straight forward, and it hooked me immediately. When I did my 20 hours class practice, I was immensely impressed by my tutor professionalism and language knowledge. He will remain a role model for me in my future teaching career. He was truly leading through his outstanding example, and we were all very inspired in the class. I left that weekend feeling lucky that I joined TEFL, and that helped me a lot when I continued working on my course. It made me think, if my tutor became like this because of TEFL, then this is the path I should definitely stick with, and hopefully inspire others. Coming to the end of my TEFL course saddened me in a way, because I was so used to access and use the Academy e-learning platform, and I know that shortly I will not be able to do it anymore. However, I am happy and delighted to graduate and go in the world and teach. I really hope that my teaching techniques I achieve with TEFL will help and impress my future students as much as TEFL Academy impressed me. Many thanks, and I will not hesitate to recommend this program to anyone whom is wishing to teach English as a foreign language!”

“I signed up to the 120 hour course this summer and am so thankful that I did! The online course was easy to follow, with helpful resources and well thought out assignments. The practical course was a huge benefit, and I would definitely recommend anyone thinking of completing a TEFL course to ensure that they attend and give it their all. I found it really helpful, and hadn't been expecting to take as much away from it as I actually did. Feedback from the tutors was helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them in the future. I head out to China on my first teaching job next week!”

“I found the TEFL course helped me on a new career path. I took the course in Nottingham early 2015. The local tutor was excellent- very motivational. The remainder of the course also had clear instructions and support. I learnt so much. It is intense and quite demanding but achievable. Since passing the course I have worked with various agencies teaching English to overseas students at home. I've now been appointed as East Midlands coordinator for LEC so will be finding new teachers and hosts. Who would have believed what an opportunity was available from a course costing just less than £200. Thank you so much for helping me change direction in my late 50's and being able to fit a new career around my home life.”
